You mentioned that when the rotor's screw is not visible, you need an assistant to turn the ignition to get it in the right position for you to unscrew it. Do you need to put the cap back on before you turn the ignition? Thank you.

I have a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada, it has been sputtering when accelerating, I’ve been driving like this for almost a month now, first it was a faulty ECM then changed the fuel filter so it should be the distributor it’s self then?

Something i needa check possibly recently did a fuel treatment changed my fuel pressure regulator spark plugs and wires code at first came up as a cylender 1 misfire and lean code and the autozone data suggested i change my pressure regulator which i did but still feel a bad misfire and the vehicle some what trys to stall between gears at a lower rpm and speed I also drive an integra same generation

Mine is misfiring and loses power while going up hills. What your take on that?.

What if all 4 say they are misfiring? Would that possibly be a distrib cap?!

hi i have the same car a acura integra 97 Gsr and i am having a problem with my car with the rpm needle jumping up and down when i reach between 4k and 5krpm i have switched out my spark plugs and checked my fuel injectors they look fine but i found oil in my distributor cap i am really stuck on what the problem is and what whould coues oil to get in there any help?

Hi my name is Jorge I live in Brazil. I liked your videos and I have a Honda Accord 95 2.2L VTec EX and the problem is about transmission. Every day when I try turn on the engine when it is cold like in the morning, I can't get reverse normally, I wait for 3 or 4 minutes and after that when it gets hot I don't have this problem. What do you think it is? I suspect it can be the solenoids dirts or the kind of fluid that I put in....But why after it gets hot I don't have that problem anymore only when it is cold? Thank you.

Could the distributor itself be the cause of the problem instead of the cap and rotor ?

hey my 91 integra is acting up i start it once and its fine but the lights dim down and wen i turn it off and try to start it again it acts like if the battery is dead but i just bought a new battery i was thinkin maybe the rotor is bad because wen i look at it the thin metal part looks black and really small do u think it could be the rotor and cap?

put a new distributor cap and rotor arm in my mk2 golf and it started first time within a second, i left it running till it reached temperature and then i literally touched the gas and then it died! so i tried to turn it on again and still nothing, so i removed the cap and rotor arm and put it all back on properly, ensuring i pushed down on the spark plugs on the dizzy cap and tried to turn it on again and still nothing? can anybody help me? it's a brand new cap and rotor which was the only problem.
