In this video, I discuss various aspects of your BMWs suspension, how to diagnose common problems, and what to look for.
There are not many components to your suspension, but they are all very important. One faulty tie rod end or ball joint can ruin your drive.
In order to accurately identify issues in your BMW suspension, you will need to jack the front end up and remove your tires. At this point, you should inspect the bushing and ball joints on the control arms. Faulty control arms are a common problem on older/high mileage BMWs.
Other common suspension problems that I discuss in this video include struts, sway bar link/bushing, brake rotor, wheel bearing, inner & outer tie rod.

Problem both sides dropped to top of wheel on front recently changed spring ,but now has been car off road for 12 weeks or so ,fine before why would both sides drop after storage

I don't have any clunking noises in my E36 but whenever I'm breaking and accelerating hard the car wants to increasingly steer back and forth violently almost like a death wobble I've swapped front tires to tires that I've used before That I know are balanced and the issue still persists and it is getting very f****** dangerous so I can't drive it and can't completely diagnose it at the moment. If anybody has any tips please let me know. I don't want to spend money on parts that I don't need to replace because the local mail supervisor is screwing me out of my own job that I have lined up because he won't fix the problem that he's had seven months to fix. So I'm just s*** out of luck but I have a E34 540i on the side. If I can steal parts from that. Let me know
