How to disable the autoplay/autopause notification sound on JBL LIVE 460NC

I have hefty flu while making this video, hope it's not too annoying.
The audio notification sound has been annoying me beyond reason, so I decided just to rip the sensors out and not care if the headset gets destroyed. Suprisingly it worked, the notification sound doees not trigger & I can use the headset lyingdown, walking or just not sitting perfectly still. I just wish there was an easy option in the app that would allow me to disable this notification sound (i know you can disable autoplay/autopause in the app, but you can't disable the notification sound that plays), I also HATE that i have to give JBL & their partners my GPS location in order to access these settings.

I had same headphones, i downloaded the jbl app, updated the app (eventually) then switched off the autopause , now the sensor doesnt pause at the slightest movement

I am certain that was not a feature when I had these, perhaps someone at JBL saw this video & made a patch.

For anyone still trying to fix this ---> you can take the ear pad off by sliding something thin between the pleather of the pad and plastic edge, It'll pop off. Just tape a bit of kitchen foil to the 2 contact points that are closest together to bridge the sensor for the auto pause.

The fact that it doesn't have an option to disable fully in the app is beyond me. For that price you'd expect more. JBL ~_~

it bothers me so much, it always thinks i don't have the headphones on and i sleep with headphones, so i can't sleep on my left aide or i'll hear that annoying fuckitn sound, same thing with 'google assistant is not connected' even though i've compeltely turned off the assistantsn. jbl headphones totally suck

Theres one simple way... I did some other research of disassembling it... you just disconnect the ribbon cable from its housing on the left ear cupling, which powers the cuplings touch sensor. The touch sensor is responsible for the autopause, autoplay, and voice assistant features. Because it hides underneath the battery pack.

I regret buying these garbage headphones. Jbl is a garbage company now. If you want good headphones you have to pay $300 for them I bought my wireless m50xs im fucking done with these garbage companies

Just an update. I discovered multiple other sensors below the fabric after the headset disinitigrated, these sensors apparantly were not as sensetive as the ones i pulled out. I belive that the true reason the headset has these sensors is to ensure propper use of the headset, not long after i removed the sensors it became evident how poor the build quality on this headset is. The earmuff quickly fell off the headset, the buttons became permenantly depressed(broken) and just recently the speakers have started to make strange sounds, I guess lying down on the couch with the headset is too rough for it, too bad really, the headset would have been great if it were not for these issues. I have purchased e new headset for half the price, the new headset does not have any of these issues & is of superior build quality. GG no re, JBL

@@DopeTracksOnly Got no clue about the model number, it's "Urbanears Plattan 2 Wireless-headphones". Cost me about 50$, it has superior build quality, about the same batterylife & none of that BS software. Can't say much about the audio quality, it's fine for the price i guess

@@RandomSchit I'm currently using the JBLs you showed in the video, they are pretty alright but the constant pausing and beeping whenever I move is driving me nuts. Would you recommend those over the JBLs?

@@DopeTracksOnly I would recomend *anything* above that JBL, even Koss Porta Pro. But yes, the headsett I am currently using is an uprgate to the JBL, it allows you to listen to music uninterupted.
