How to disable your LG microwave audible beeps

This video applies specifically to the LMV2031ST, LMV2031BD, LMV2031SW and LMV2031SB.

To shut off the loud repeating beeping noise of microwave oven ( Kitchen-Aid) , keep pressing the "2" button for 5 seconds (until you see GOOD displayed on the screen) . Worked for me !

I wish there was a way to turn up the volume it's not very loud, especially if your older and lose of hearing hopefully they can upgrade their speaker on next generation models it's just nice to hear the reminder when your food is done, from the family room. Don't like using the app or speaker connected to the app, just want a microwave speaker that is loud enough to hear. That's all, Simple enough.

was trying to make mine louder so I can hear the damn thing.....it use to beep loudly now not so loud...what is the setting to make it louder? My LG LMV1683ST has no Custom Set button and the manual only says 'Four Tones signal the end of a cooking cycle'

Loud? I want the microwave to be silent at all times, if they had silent cooking I'd turn that on too. There's enough gadgets in the house making beep bop sounds. I want peace and quiet lol

It's good for our communication. if my wife is mad at me but doesn't want to talk about it she will set the microwave and let it beep and leave the house. If our relationship is going well We go out of our way to turn off the microwave and the chime before it ever even goes off. So I always know where I stand thanks LG

Same. Mine looks just like the picture, but does not have the Custom Set button. i would never have bought it. It's SO loud.

@@DIYAroundTheHome I took it apart a bit, but could not find a speaker or anything to muffle (I was going to put duct tape over it or whatever!). I could set my last one to silent.

It's 2020 I think you should be able to customize all of these settings as well as upload your own mp3 sound files. Can you imagine how much fun that could be?

On the Best Buy cheaper countertop model- press and hold the clear button and the timer/clock button. No beeps and no music chime!!
