How to disconnect a fuel line without a special tool

Simple and cheap solution to disconnect a fuel line. You can use not only a garden hose, but something that is similar and can get under the retaining spring inside the connector. It can be even a thin metal sheet that you can bend. Just find a proper material a thickness.

If you know what size your connector is, you can buy single disconnect tools for a couple of bucks at any parts house

Shut your face. every automotive repair video has someone insist on going to the store to buy something. The title of the video is removing without special tool hence not to spend money or go to the parts store. Don’t be that guy I’m out.. Gotta go find a garden hose.

I just came across this old video while doing some research on some parts for the jeep liberty I just bought. I just watched it and I literally almost said the exact thing word for word. I haven't tried this method to remove it yet, but It doesn't make any since at all why the the disconnect is so obscured. I wouldn't have even thought twice about it though normally, I would just assume he sucks at filming. But the dude looked like he was doing sleight of hand the whole time....
