This is a LONG one. I didn't have time to edit it down to a shorter version. ***2 important things I did wrong. 1 when taking apart keep stages in order. 2. Write down where the washers/shims go and how many in each spot. They DO NOT get inserted between each stage. ***

I you want clean the inox parts like a mirror you can use clorhidric acid 30 %, during 1 hr. The results are nice

We dip in some rust remover plus or ox and it makes a big difference.

Inlet is the top. Outlet is at the end of the cylinder

You guys seem to be using well water pumps with impellers and diffusers designed for CLEAN, clear water, not some agressive chemicals that obviously have dissolved the parts. I would talk to a real engineer at Gould and get the right plastic for the chemicals at hand. Considering what they charge, it is essential. Or rather, buy a all stainless steel rig like a Myers [Owned by Pentair that owns Gould and about every pump company in the USA] or a Grunfos if available.

Yeah they are making a different impeller now. Supposed to be more reliable
