Watching her do this definitely tells me why the glass formed one was 50K. Like omg the time it took for her to use acrylic probably took longer with glass forming those chains.

so for the sweater vest, if anyone else want's to do it make sure you use a zig-zag stitch. It's stretchy and should always be used with stretch fabrics, it can also help stop fraying

Thank you so much for this advice! I was thinking that was the case, because I’ve been researching how to turn old sweaters into sweater vests and skirts, and it was clear I was supposed to use a zig zag stitch, but I didn’t know the reasoning behind it until your comment. :)

From the thumbnail I thought you just found fancy shower curtain rings and hooked them together, but the fact that you dyed and bended them yourself just made this chandelier so much more special!!! The only thing I would do differently is adjust the way the links come together at the ceiling, in some places it looks a little messy, but overall you really nailed it!!!! You did a fantastic job!

Have they ever explained how ownership of the DIYs works? It seemed strange that something Rachel made and loved ended up in Kelsey's home especially when most of the things Kelsey and Becky make are for their own homes.

I guess you could consider that 1. She isnt an equal partner/owner of the company they built- so company or Kelsey probably paid for all of the materials ( I'm sure the company doesnt pay for personal projects Kelsey and Becky do in thier own homes) she is an employee, she was definitely paid to make it as well, 2. She might not have room in her apt. for it, so when she was inspired by it, she probably pitched the idea to Kelsey since she is needing to fix up that space anyway

Great job! In the future, the easiest way to make chain links is actually to make a long coil (maybe using 2 dowels as a jig) and then cut through it. That way you can easily close the chain links! If you look up how to make jump rings for jewelry, it’s the same concept.
