You could probably make some extra cash if you were to make some PDF or otherwise lists of settings, so people like me could get some hands on ideas for making scenes and chases. You know... A step by step guide for dummies... Lol We could upload videos and show you our progress with your settings... Just wishful thinking... Lol My thing is, that I want to be able to set some scenes to songs. Like... How do I time my moments to certain notes and or beats... How do I make the lights go slow during some parts of the songs and fast during the others, WITHOUT using the "Tap Speed" button while the song is playing?

That is done with DMX computer software. Manual DMX controllers will not do that, unless you control it while the song is playing.

Only if the light has a channel where it can switch between effects. For instance my dj spot 250, once channel 4 is above 200, it cycles through all the gobos.

If you're doing something like having all of the lights off and then they turn red one at a time from left to right then yes, 16 scenes programmed to 1 chase will be the easiest way.

Can all of your colors for each light be on the same channel? If so you can take advantage of overwriting a channel by manually controlling it during a chase. For instance, if you're running a chase and you select one of your fixtures and manually move one of the sliders, then you will overwrite this channel and all other channels will continue to run through the chase. I have 4 lights that use channel 3 for color changing and these are fixtures 3, 4 and 5 on my controller. I will often run a chase but want these lights to be the same color so I'll select fixtures 3, 4 and 5 and move the slider on channel 3 so that they are all the same color.

Zak Snow if your are in program mode you can select a fixture, move it where you want it, then deselect that fixture. It will stay wherever you had it last. Then you can select the next fixture. Do this until you have all the lights doing what you want for a scene and then save it as a scene. Hope this helps.

Are you running the sound active button of the controller or do the lights have a channel for sound active and you are just moving that channel on the controller?

@@DJGhez There is a channel for the sound active and program on the fixture. Both fixtures respond the same way no matter how i connect them. They start together then move out of sync.

@@iambobby3537 Gotcha. So what's happening is your controller is telling each light independently to run sound active. Even though they are connected together they act independently in a DMX daisy chain system. The only way to get them in sync would be to either make scenes and run sound active chases from the controller or, if your lights allow, change the downstream light to Slave Mode so that the upstream DMX controller lights is the Master. Again not all light allow you to do this but a lot of old school dip switch lights do. Let me know if I'm missing something.

Not sure which ones you mean. In the video I'm using scanners which are DJ Scan 250 HP. I actually don't have any par cans anymore but it's the same concept. What lights and controller are you using?

I'm just starting. So I have the LED Lights only. planning to buy mini moving heads to practice :) Am also using DMX 512

This is great! However, do you have a video solely for moving heads. Creating a scene and chase for moving heads. Will appreciate any help :)

I can try but I'm not sure what I would show that hasn't been done in my previous videos. I'm in the process of moving right now so it may take me a week before I can make a video.

DieselIab67 sure thing. What do you need help with? A chase is just a sequence of scenes. Chases allow you to pick random scenes from different banks to be combined together into a list callef a chase.
