--These exact lights are no longer available but you can buy similar ones here:

Thank you so much for these tutorials!! I'm getting back into DJing after about a 15 year hiatus and before, DMX was outrageously expensive and not feasible for me to play with... With your help and the prices that have come down, it's GAME ON now! :)

What you're doing here is taking me from cable wrangler to developing my board op. I'm primarily a multi-instrumentalist/ sound engineer that finally broke into the local crew. With you're navigation tutorials and thought orientation I will be on the road and out of this little town. I'm very happy I stumbled across your class, now I can approach the board I have access to with confidence. I'm on it! Thanks! - CJ

@@LearnLizard Hey! I am a sound engineer and new to lighting. Thanks for making this understandable. I think I missed something though. On this unit, it has 12 set fixtures, and I see that the chauvet 50 48 channel, doesn't have set fixture points. On that model, I am limited to the number of lights based on the number of channels (24 faders x 2). Meaning that if I have lights with say eight channels per light, am I limited to six individual fixtures?? Also, if I only want to use 3 of the eight channels available on a given light, can I just simply start the address of the [second light ] at channel "4", and not use the other 5 channels on fixture one?? Thanks and again I appreciate how you bring your experience down to level where a beginner can understand it. Carl

Your tutorials are just what I needed! I really appreciate them! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to "Daisy Chain" two different light fixture models with different color options. I'd like to know if you can daisy chain a light fixture that only has RGB with a light fixture that has RGBAW+UV and still be able to control all the extra color options on the RGBAW+UV with the Obey 40! I'm concerned that if I make the RGB light fixture my 1st fixture and then daisy chain an RGBAW+UV as my 2nd fixture I won't be able to use the controls on the Obey 40 properly to operate the AW+UV options. I'd like to know if it's possible to do that, and if it is, how to do it! I'd really really appreciate it! Once again, thank you for the awesome tutorials! Keep them up!
