Despite the title of this video, I think the big thing is to understand you are never going to accomplish everything in the parks. There are simply too many variables. A three hour rain storm will mess up 1/3 of your day for going on many of the big outdoor attractions. And that will lead to longer lines with the dark ride attractions that are still open. People just need to go with what they are able to accomplish and enjoy the ride.

Good advice. The most fun Disney encounters I’ve had have been when there’s a few goals of the day and the rest is just go with the flow.

This video is like music to my ears. All my favorite Disney strategies! Sometimes it’s nice to get a video where I’m not actively learning or disagreeing (I like a good restaurant ranking debate 😂) but just nodding along the entire time. Worth noting, these strategies are also great for maximizing a short trip or a single day. I have used these tips for a 4 park challenge day.

We were at WDW one year ago today. Florida kids were back in school, people were still a bit leery about traveling, and it was HOT. Most of the rides in Epcot were a walk on most of the day. It was fabulous. Also, when at AK, we saw the Celebration of the LK and when it was let out, apparently it had been raining. Well, it got lighter and we booked it over to Asia because Expedition had just reopened and was a posted 5 min wait... It was a walk on! It was the best! We were very fortunate with our timing overall. And yes, if Peter or Winnie are more than 20 min... just walk past. Not worth a long wait.

I feel like this video should be titled, how to make the most of your time at Disney World… Because it isn’t necessarily explaining how to fit everything in in one week it’s more just general times saving tips and advice.

After you booked your first lightning Lane reservation, if you go back in and try to book another lightning Lane reservation, it will tell you at what time you will be eligible to book your next one. That way you can set a timer on your phone to know When 120 minutes has passed!

The Friday before last, my sister, brother in law, and I did all of dca and disneyland in one day (7:15am to 12:30am) using lighting lanes and being tricky with what we were doing. 22 miles later, we rode 29 rides in one day!!! Genie+ works really well if you use it right.
@ScotConway
@ScotConway 4 ай бұрын
So much of "everything" depends upon what that means to a given individual. I remember when Pandora first opened, and I made a decision: However long the line was... I was riding those two rides. I was right behind a rope drop... and the line was 3 hours long by the time I got there for Banshee. But once I finished that ride, all the rest were relatively short and I felt I got to "everything" in Animal Kingdom. But when I talk "a week" I literally mean I have 7 days to do 4 parks. Since I already plan on two days for Epcot, it means I have two extra "fill-in" days to go finish up what I might have missed before. Since I'll usually get a park hopper ticket, I've been to up to all four parks in just one day.

As far as maximizing ride time: After fireworks don’t exit the park. MK usually open a little afterwards, which gives an opportunity to lower the bus lines and ride wait times should be lower as most people are leaving the park.

We have you beat!!! We did Every top attraction in 3 days!!! Was amazing!!! First day was Epcot. First I got a boarding queue for Cosmic rewind for Monday of last week. We did Soaring, Test-track, Frozen, Remmy, Nemo, Cosmic….park hopped to Magic kingdom and did Splash, mine train, thunder mountain and fireworks show. Then a few days at universal. Friday Magic Kingdom was empty due to park closing after hours Halloween party. Walked on everything. Lightning lane purchasers for guests we talked with were super pissed because they could not get that money back. Peter Pan was a walk on. Splash mountain was 15 minutes at 2:00 for standby. We did everything and were done by 3:00 park hopped over to AK. Did Kali river, Pandora FOP, and Everest twice. Next day was crazy weird but totally worked out in our favor. The only time I used a LL Genie Plus!! We got into the park at rope drop and found Rise broken almost all morning. Many people cancelled their LL as they were told it would be down all day or so they claim. Well I grabbed one at 9:40 while in line for Rocking roller coaster as the attraction ended up opening. Right after I purchased it, the ride went down again and was down until 4:00. We then went to Mickey and Minnie runaway. Then star tourers and Slinky dog. All standby! Later we went to Muppets, Tower of terror and then went for the Rise which was running at partial capacity and only LL people were able to get on the ride. The standby line was 5 hours +! Rise workers has to be the worst job in the park. I literally watched them get chewed out one person after another because they cancelled their LL because they were told it would be down all day. Which I think was a lie. But anyway. During this trip we ate at Garden Grill, Whispering canyon, 50’s Prime, and Sci-fi. Did we get lucky. I do t know but I am not complaining. One tip for getting the virtual queue. Having the newest 5G phone with the fastest service like AT&T or Verizon is a massive advantage. My iphone 13 pro max is 1.5 seconds faster than my sons 5G pixel on T-Mobile.

Thank you, AJ and team! This was such a fantastic video, especially about the rides to prioritize and splitting up for food and rides that not everyone agrees on. On our upcoming trip, I’m planning my family’s character breakfast reservations on our travel/non-park days so it doesn’t eat into the mornings hours we should be spending in the parks 😀. Same with any character dinners except for the ones in the parks. That way everything will be more leisurely, and we still get magic on our non-park days! Same with fireworks! We would like to try watching them from our resort or while on a ride. In other words, multi-tasking! About mobile orders, it’s not only to get the orders in early during non-peak times and avid crowds, but seating is also hard to come by during peak times, too. Aloha Isle gets so chaotic and it’s hard to tell which line is for people whose mobile orders are ready, people waiting for their mobile window or the standard walk-up. I would definitely hit up Aloha Isle early next time, lol, or while we are waiting for a parade. I know people who get their dinner to go (Casey’s, for example) while they wait for fireworks, that’s smart, too. Lastly, we do our best to bring things that save time in lines. We eat breakfast and drink coffee in our hotel room but bring our reusable water bottle, ponchos, snacks, Lunchables, extra batteries, bubble maker, a small bottle of bubbles, glow sticks, basic first aid items. It not only saves money but time in lines as well. Our strategy with and without kids is totally different and now we just have a few must-do’s and everything is a bonus. Things don’t go according to plan so we just have to be patient and flexible. One day I definitely want to try the VIP Tour. That’s my dream, lol!

We didn’t take a break day while we were there, but when we go back to Disney I’ll be sure to plan one! @@Amy_V Honestly... Disneyland needs to be a place you "win" a chance to go to. For the price its too expensive for an average family to enjoy... Yet the parks are always crowded. I dont want to spend all this money to go to some crowded park full of lines. Its not right. I say, let people win a spot to go to the park, and charge the rich people triple. They got the money. This way, the park has a lower attending rate, and people can actually feel like they are enjoying their money. If I spend 100 bucks at the gas station playing lotto, the dude will tell me to relax, get a soda, make me feel good to be there. When people spend a lot of money, they deserve to have that "luxurious" feeling that they are paying for. If I take 10k dollars for my wife and kid to enjoy disneyland... we need to feel like kings. And rightfully so.

The Halloween party is expensive and to get the most out of it you would have to stay late, which I think would be difficult with a 1-year-old. I would recommend Park hopping, probably to Epcot because it's got a mellow vibe, there are a couple of rides you can bring a little one on, like Frozen, the Mexico ride and Remy's ride. And the Epcot fireworks night time show, Harmonious, is excellent.
