I lay out my peyote patterns on a bead board to work them, and I think this method will really speed up progress on my projects, as long as I remember which direction to pick up them 2 rows each time. Thank you so much for sharing!

How did you had the rows? Let's say you are doing rows 5 and 6 of a pattern. Do you start with the first bead of row 5 and then the first from row 6 or do you pick up all of row 5 and then all of row 6?

Reviewed this as a quick refresher since it's been forever since I've need to do a fast peyote stitch. Trickiest on multi-colors sections, I find it helps me go to the quickest on borders of a single color and large sections on bracelets where it's all one color.

This video changed the game when it comes to my beading hobby. After doing countless patterns… am I wrong to think this is not only faster, but a superior way of beading in every way? In my experience, this makes it easier to keep the same thread tension throughout the entire work… and the finished works ends up stronger and sturdier than in the tradicional method. It works perfect with thin threads such as Miyuki… perhaps not as great if you’re working with thicker elastic threads. The only other possible downside I can think of is that it’s generally harder to correct mistakes… (specially if accidentally pass the needle through the thread) It’s a 10/10 for me. Thanks for sharing the tip

How is this time consuming? The first few rows make it tough - but I honestly find that I end up way ahead of myself because of how fluid it becomes to just do one row at a time, even.... 🤔🤔

I suspect that I'm not the only person wondering if this can be used on odd-count peyote... I haven't tried it, but I think the answer is yes as long as you start when the sticking-out beads are the ones that include the edge beads.

Well, that looks like a lot more work than just doing it one bead at a time, unless you are using only green. I seldom use the peyote stitch anymore, unless I am doing something round, and I want to. I can do the peyote by simply using the brick stitch. If you are following a pattern, which I almost always do, just turn it sideways and let'er rip! I have been beading many many years, and have taught many people how to bead, and I have never seen this method, so kudos for teaching an old dog a new trick! I most likely won't use it, but it is still good to open ones horizons and learn new things.

CLEVER! I like this technique. I'm assuming you start your first 2 rows the traditional way before going to this speed stitching method, right? IE Pick up 11 beads and then stitch in another 11, right? If so, now I know how to figure out how many beads to load to create the finished width I want in inches. Eg. first load 11 beads (assuming that's 1") when I want a 2" wide cuff. Stitching in the next set of 11 beads will give me my 2" wide cuff. Hope that makes sense. It does to me. TFS this cool time saver.

if you line up several rows of the beads in the order they go you won't have to refer to your chart quite as much. You can do several rows and then line up another few rows of beads in the order they need to go. It has reduced the amount of time it takes me to do a project.
