Good job - I actually appreciate this. I bought a Parrot AR 2.0 Drone years ago when they first came out. FPV Drones seemed too expensive to start out if you don't know what you are doing/getting/buying. I recently bought the DJI FPV because they had it all figured out for a single price, at least I wasn't going to throw the money away with incompatibilities. Now that I decided to go all in, I'm starting with a Whoop (BETAFPV 95x). Cheaper to crash than the DJI FPV! This series is helping me.

Just wanted to say watching these videos has been very helpful for me. I just bought my DJI FPV a few days ago, and knew I wanted to learn to do manual flight. After watching these videos, I felt confident enough to do my first manual flight this evening and everything went awesome. Looking forward to watching the rest of the series as well.

Watching you guys was almost as much fun as flying. I've flown slow 5-inch drones indoors after flying simulator for couple of months to get my "thumbs right". This video gives me courage to upscale with my DJI FPV system. Absolutely love you videos! Simulation is absolutely addictive. So much fun. I will get thru our rainy season and be ready for my outdoor FPV debut within a couple of weeks. Keep up the good work guys!

So this tutorial really brought me into the whys of the features on this thing. It really is a sweet piece and with the SIM setup its really a great learning/teaching tool....I have v1 stuff that is awesome RIP but this is outstanding on its own. Excellent video to start getting to the FPV manual mode, even after some experience with GPS drones. There was no mention on the video at what angle you adjust the camera angle before going to manual mode! Can you please give more info on this for a beginner?

I love DJI and rotor riot. But it's kind of a slap in the face because I have an android.

Taking the DJI FPV in full manual today for the 2nd time. This is extremely helpful! I wish the fpv Sim worked on Android. Thanks for that DJI. But this is truly the best fpv trainer kwad. Can't wait to master it then get my first 5 inch.

2:08 And what's also convenient about using the phone instead of the computer is the fact that the computer sim *doesn't freaking work* so good job skirting that little fact to the side this smoothly. Every other drone pilot using the DJI FPV who tried to use the computer sim got it working once, then never again. (reinstalls, recalibrations, nothing.) It knows your controller is connected, but doesn't pick up any inputs. We've been complaining about it for years now on the forums, and the devs decided not to respond anymore. So, fair warning to future DJI FPV or Avata pilots out there. 2:27 "All that crazy stuff", no, it's just one program you download and install, but way to make the computer sim look undesirable i guess. Granted, the fact that it at least works on the phone is GREAT. The drone moves a lot slower on the phone than it would irl, but you're almost guaranteed to panic out at how the thing behaves. You *need* to practice on a sim first, or *you will crash* . It's just *not* the same. No need to be a hero. It's like the matrix. You think you're "The One" after how easy normal mode makes everything, but *nobody makes it the first time.* Just *remember the panic button* though, and as long as you have enough height, you should still be safe. Expect to use that panic button a lot more than this guy.

I think it was Nigel Mansel who said it best: "In F1, you should be thinking strategy and not about driving the car. Driving must be automatic." To a certain degree in FPV freestyle, you need to get to a point where you no longer have to think about flying. The quad must become like an extension of you.

You can connect any of the MFi game controllers, or PlayStation/Xbox controller and play the sim with that.

Appreciate the maiden manual mode video. I just got my first FPV and I'm sure it will be a while before I go to manual. I have flown RC nitro helicopters for a few years and there seems to be some resemblance to that, but I plan on taking my time and working through the Normal then Sport first. I do have to say, I don't think my manual maiden flight will be at an airport with real planes and people around.

Question for you. Flying my DJI fpv drone I noticed the HD video signal fade after turning the building corner. So, at that point I am out of direct sight to the drone. Is that normal or is a google issue not receiving video. Thank you

2 great things about this drone is the fact that you can work on your Los game you get confused hit rth same with Manuel mode the machine has great benefits like charging is one its dummy proof there are things I don't like about it and the rest I love about it like how there are modes that you can choose the range and quality of the video are second to none and the auto gimbal has to be my absolute favorite thing about it as an fpv builder to be honest I love how they have fixed some of the most aggravating things about fpv I really think that the 2nd Gen of this drone will probably be the best damn drone on the market id like to see full flips and rolls in sports mode this Gen in the software updates

Is the simulator not available anymore? I cannot find the app

I got my DJI FPV today and I'm having a hard time doing the initial setup. First, the app wouldn't load on my android phone so I tried to DL it to my wife's. It did. But then I hooked everything up only to be told that firmware was out of date. Ugh. Then why have still on the DJI DL page? 🤦‍♂️What version should I DL and where do I find it? Also, the app is in Chinese. How do I change that? I've had a lot of drones but this setup issue is just nuts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Awesome channel. I thought it was in the "academy section of the fly app but I can only find videos.is the dji virtual fly app different from the dji fly app or are they the same app? I've got to say I'm a bit pissed that I spent an arm and a leg for a DJI drone, and they don't have the decency to make their apps compatible with Android or PC. I've had nothing but problems with DJI's failure to make their software usable for the rest of us 'deplorables'. Great video guys.

One thing I’ve really wanted someone to do was take apart a DJI FPV drone and place the components into a normal carbon fiber frame with 2306 motors, so that you are able to fly it with the Grey fpv controller and also use the DJI goggles on the fpv drone channel. Way better connection and link quality

It would probably a good thing to let people know who want to buy this that the SIM is only for IOS. There is no way to use it if you do not own an apple. I found that out the hard way. I've been trying to find settings I can input into Velocidrone to try and simulate the DJI drone, but no luck

you hit the panic button when its on the ground it will try to adjust meaning it wants to hover. So its not much use.

This is an important problem that DJI actually needs to fix - especially if we don’t want FPV in the headlines for seriously injuring people. That was sketchy as hell. They were far enough away, had their finger on the button, pushed it, and the drone still came at them. Regardless of their experience. The drone needs to be able to be powered down no questions asked. That freak out on the ground does NOT happen if you have a HARD DISARM SWITCH.
