I love doing larger diamond paintings because of the detail. I used to do cross stitch, so I happened to have a cross stitch scrolling frame that I modified by sliding pool noodles over the dowels and adding a board attached to the sides within the frame work to support a back light. It has saved my back and neck from being hunched over from hours of drilling as well as being able to work in small spaces. I truly wish I was able to share a picture of it with you.

That is a brilliant solution. I work on a plastic portable table or on a tv tray with my A2 light pad under for stability. I can see that i can use them when I'm on the table even with the light pad. Thank you. And thank you to the person who suggested watching the video upside down. It made it much easier to watch.

I have a small tv table to work on for a large diamond painting. I have to tape it to the desk in order to work on small sections. A 20 by 30. Eventually I need a larger table.

This is the system I use as well. The two differences are that I let the part that I've finished just fall off the desk rather than rolling it up. My desk is multi-use and has an under desk keyboard, so the other difference is the part that is rolled and waiting to be moved up to finish goes under the desk, over the keyboard and falls behind it. if it is a really long painting I roll it up and use clips as Rachel pointed out. Everything stays put, and I have a large clean non-fluffy cloth that I lay over the top of the painting if I need to use the desk for the medical billing that I do. It has worked really well! Just some of my own tips. 🙂

😊😊😊Hi Rachel, good morning. Thank you for the lesson. I Diamond paint on my dining room table. I am lefthanded and always start on the lower left of the canvas. I do the color blocking first because I dread confetti. But thank you for the idea s. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

As always, very informative!! I work on an easel and have difficulty figuring out how to work on large DP that are wide as well as long. Currently I keep turning the DP but that means the symbols are sideways and upside which I don't like, but, I do what I have to do. As for the clips, unfortunately working on an easel doesn't work :-( but that is a great idea for non-easle diamond painters.
@coraleistandley959

I too used to work on an easel with a back light behind my work. I used a pool noodle taped to the top of the easel so I could pin the canvas to it, and rolled the undrilled portion at the bottom, keeping it rolled up with binder clips. The finished portion I would pin and roll on a second noodle, draping it over the top noodle before repinning it to the top noodle. I would also use binder clips to hold the sides to the light board. I wish I could show you a picture. Would be so much easier.

I want to try diamond painting. I am wondering what is the difference between beginner, intermediate and advance skill levels? Do you like a diamond painting company more than another? You mentioned in the video that some glues do not allow you to roll the canvas backwards. How do you know which ones you can roll back and which ones you can't? Once yoh place the diamonds on the canvas is there anything that you need to do to roll it backwards to keep working the picture and to frame the picture? How do you frame it so not to lose the sparkle of the picture? Thank you for your time.

Those clips are genius! What I dont understand is why DAC paintings are so big. They seem unnecessarily large its a bit much for me. I think this ine is beautiful. I play the viloin and would love the one that has her playing a violin but its like 5ft tall 😂. Its life size I dont get it.

@heikemartin4583
@heikemartin4583 8 ай бұрын
You get used to seeing them sideways rather quickly. Even more so if you put your containers with the symbol stickers in the same direction. Only be careful with the arrow symbols. Mostly the colour helps as well - unless you are working on a mystery painting 😊

Great idea but it depends on how your desk/table is made. If the desktop is larger than the frame it’s sitting on, then you have a nice area for the DP to lay tucked back in under (as shown in the YT video example she used) while not infringing on how close you can sit up to the top. However, the table I work on doesn’t have that so I couldn’t use this style of clips because there would be no way to attach it to the table except on the outer edge and in doing that I would be leaning over the roll of the DP and the clips. However, I am using a tabletop easel and am trying to roll up the canvas and tuck it under the bottom lip of the easel.

@@debbieholt8261 Thanks so much for replying, Debbie. Sounds like you and I have the same set up. It works fine for me for many kits but not the huge ones. I’m thinking I might try a curtain rod by attaching the brackets to the table. It works in my mind, now let’s see if it works when I actually do it!

I don’t wish to complain but sometimes constructive feedback is important. I don’t know why, but I honestly could not watch your video. The angle that you had your camera at just felt really weird and it seemed to trigger my vertigo. I felt nauseous and made me feel dizzy. It felt like Your camera was 30 degrees past directly overhead and it was looking back in onto picture. Almost like doing a somersault but being stuck in the curled under position, if that makes sense. I know Im in the minority where this can trigger some people, but I just wanted to make you aware of some people’s sensitivity. Thanks. 😊

A word of advice, the angle is awful! It's like your standing against the wall. Very unpleasant and disturbing to the eyes to watch your videos. There are people who have vision problems and angles disturb their vision. Be a little considered to those who watch your videos and change your angle. Put the camera looking straight down!
