Chakrasana or the wheel pose is a backward bending yoga asana. This asana is so named because the body takes the shape of a circle - or a semi-circle. The asana is very similar to the gymnastic back-bend. It is a very good asana for improving the elasticity of the spinal cord. Chakrasana strengthens the back and abdominal muscles. It tones the organs in the abdomen including the digestive, excretory and reproductive organs. Hi Pavithra, no dont move your leg you wont have balance and you may hurt yourself its better to move your hands and come out of the posture.

when ever i try backbend my head feels so heavy ...is it always there whenever we try or like only for beginners?

Rajiv this is advanced backbend. please do easier once and preparatory asanas for backbend! practice safely its better to do under supervision. Hi Preet, This is little advance posture pls practice the easy asanas slowly you can move here. You can try doing standing chakrasana also! :)
