Hey, you made a coloring page! I love that you're using that book for practice, so you can go back and view your progress. I frequently doodle on separate sheets of paper, then they get thrown away, or repurposed, and I miss out on my advancing skill level. I think it's encouraging to be able to say "urg, I was really bad at this a few weeks ago, but look what I did today!"

This is cool learning to draw shrooms! The sound is great 👍! I saw some cool gourds yesterday one had tons of bumps all over it. It looked nasty LOL 😆 I personally like the colored ones myself and the small ones. There was a pale blue one, a pale yellow and even a whitish pink color. I have been living in the dark for so long! I never knew gourds grew in such beautiful colors!

FYI: The red mushrooms with spots are called "Amanita", specifically "amanita muscaria". Can be deadly poison. The feathery parts are called "gills". Love the tutorial!

Oh, my gosh!!!! MUSHROOMS ARE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!! This is so much fun!!! I just read Eugenia's post! Amanita! I feel so smart now. It's a shame they are so poisonous b/c they are so beautiful. I've never seen one in the wilds, but just in case, I've been warned now. I do not like the texture of mushrooms so the only way I eat them is to dehydrate them and then powder them and use them that way, but they look beautiful in foods and they look beautiful in the yard and woods I love them! And now I love drawing them!!! Thank you Pam!!!!

Drew mushrooms with you! About to replay so I can finish up my sheet of paper, filling it, while listening/drawing with you =D Kinda funny, cus after the last mushroom vid, I was trying to figure out how to draw these cuties, but thry didn't... exactly... go as planned. Lol. I keep trying to figure out how to get the "skirt" (rill?) On the stem, without crossing the stem line. Guess i need to plan ahead & leave space for it? Drawing the skirt first led to disaster..... I think the lined underhat area/eyelashes are the Gill area. Iirc, it's where the spores would emerge later. Don't quote me, I'm no scientist/mushroom expert, and my last science class was over 20 years ago lol. Thank you for breaking this down into easy-to-remember pieces, though. Hat, vase, underbelly, eyelashes, decorate. A good way to deal with the bottom without a solid ground line or those hyphea... just tiny dashes & dots, slightly curved (to give that 3-D illusion, deepen it for "fatter" vases) down to the bottom of the page. It fools the eye into thinking it's grass, or soil, or SOMETHING. Pretty proud of my fungi... THANK YOU!!! And Sunny, indeed, one should never randomly eat wild mushrooms! Store-bought are safe. Wild - unless you know 100% for sure, leave it alone. Hope you avoid them, too, little one! Some make you very very sick, others may make you sick AND see/hear things that aren't there! Others are ok, but only if you prepare/cook them JUST RIGHT (kinda like that one fish...)... and yet others are perfectly fine, like the button mushrooms, morrells (spelling), shitake, etc, that you get in the produce section of the store lol. Oooo, Pam... can you teach us "Shelf mushrooms"? And moss? I wanna draw a fallen decaying tree & moss, shelf & normal 'shrooms on & around it now... lol I think that'd be a cool page.

And... a WHOLE PAGE! So proud of these! Ok, a few are... not so good lol, but overall, YESSSSSS!!! Too bad I drew them in my dot-grid journal... lol. Now to find one of my sketchpads & try again. And a pencil... so I can erase the ones I don't like. I forsee a day full of drawing fungi.... and now I want mushroom soup. Lol

@@ThePaperOutpost i tried shelf shrooms, but... they look like lumpshrooms LOL! I'll get there, though. I forgot how much fun just doodling is, with no "i want it to look like THIS and why doesn't it look like THIS AND IT'S RUINED AND I SUCK AND..." that kinda thing. It's one reason I doodle on dot grid, cus if it turns out crappy, oh well. But if it turns out nice, I can trace it onto something else if I want! (But, if I start with nice clean paper, then I feel obligated - that voice comes out - it MUST BE PERFECT. Bleh, it stifles the joy.) Good thing I have a few more blank pages in this thing that aren't earmarked (confession, it's my animal crossings new horizons log book lol. My memory is bad - one little distraction & I'm lost, so it helps me keep track of things i want to do in game, have done, etc. But, it's also my current doodle book.). I have one area full of "wavy line" leaves & other leaves. Struggling with drawing acorns, too... berries, at least roundish ones, are easy lol. Keep doodling, folks... it's fun. Its JUST PAPER. It doesn't need to be art collector worthy! If you don't like it, rip it up into chunks & use it in yourcollages! =D

GILL: the underside of a mushroom oh boy...this is WAY above my skill set. are stencils/rubber stamps copyrighted? can they be used those for our printable/postcards?
