yes, just get your charcoal and color it in everywhere and spread it with your finger.

Usually I use a paper towel under my hand to avoid smudging and if there's some smudges left I carefully erase them with an eraser pen. After my drawing is finished, I just apply Fixatif

A skull is actually a classical subject for drawing. It has nothing to do with "death culture"

Everybody's got a skull. Hardly any have two. Skulls are interesting drawing subjects because they have many ins and outs and many types of lighting and shadowed areas and crevasses and so from hundreds of years in the past all the way to the present, they have been a major study of interest, since there are skulls of many shapes and sizes.
