Help. How do you remove the slog so easily? It is hard to remove the round wood stuck after the making of the hole.

I need to drill a hole between 40 and 50 mm through a concrete block wall, the only thing is i have to drill the hole at an angle of about 45 degrees which means the hole length is 300 to 400mm long. How would you suggest I do this?.

I have been searching for methods regarding how to install a dryer vent through a cinder block and brick wall. Came across this video and decided if I am going to do it I need the proper tools. I purchased a 4 1/4" bit and will see how this goes.

@@Umbrellacorporationmt Went exceptionally well! Turns out I needed to go through cinder block and bricks which was a total of 12 1/2" thick. It took me 36 minutes to drill through all the materials and it came out PERFECTLY! I used the 4 1/4" bit for my 4" dryer duct.

Is there any wattage requirements for the drill machine, for using these bits? I have Bosch 500 watts mini hammer drill, where it is very easy to drill through brick wall or concrete blocks wall. But it simply doesn't cut through roof concrete. Can these drill bits be used with above drill (Bosch gsb 10 re)?

For the pilot hole, does the bit for that pilot hole needs to be diamond tip or carbide tip? Can I just use the pilot bit that comes with the core bit?

What parts would be needed to drill a 3" hole through 2 layers of bricks? For putting in cable and network cables, I've had to use a very long drill bit with the blades on the ends (hammer drill). it turns out, that there's a layer of brick, an air space then the outside layer of bricks. The whole travel is something like 11" to 15" (I forget right now which it is). But I'm contemplating getting a 2 zone DIY Mini Split and I'd have to drill 2, 3" holes, one for each unit. But around where I am, I haven't really seen some kind of hole saw that can do this particular job. What would be needed that would work with my 3/2 chuck hammer drill?

You may have to fill it in with concrete, leave it to harden, and start afresh with the larger bit.

Hi can I drill a hole at a 45 degree angle
@paulmayerpiano
@paulmayerpiano Жыл бұрын
You would have to make yourself a jig of some kind to keep the hole saw at the correct angle while starting the cut. You will not be able to do it just by holding the drill at an angle while you start your hole. You could also try drilling a hole through a starting a hole in a piece of material with a face large enough to allow the entire diameter of the hole, cutting the back side of this piece at 45 degrees, then gluing the back side to the wall with some PL construction adhesive or epoxy. Once the adhesive has dried, continue the hole you started in the piece of block you cut the back off of, and continue drilling into the wall behind it. You will probably have to stop partway through the cut to break out the slug and keep going because you will be drilling through much more material since you are on an angle. Once you have gone through the wall completely, you can break off the piece you glued on and chip off the glue with a cold chisel or a chipping hammer.
