HOW TO - Drum Change Over

Күн бұрынIn this video we share our method for switching between different materials in a plural component spray system.
Example: Switching from 2.0 lb. foam to 0.5 lb. foam or switching from a polyurethane foam to a polyurea coating.
This method will allow you to capture most of the material in the proportioner, pumps, hoses etc minimizing waste.
SAFETY ALERT:
Follow your equipment's Pressure Relief Procedure before cleaning, checking, or servicing equipment. Disconnect hoses from gun. Once started you will need to finish the procedure, be sure to allow for the time needed to complete the procedure start to finish, it is not recommended to leave air in the system.
This video cannot cover all safety concerns; each user should follow correct procedures outlined in the manufacturers equipment manual and understand the requirements for safe operation. Also be sure to read chemical manufacturer’s warnings and material MSDS to know specific hazards and precautions related to the chemicals.

Run DOP in the middle cleans the line fully and you have the DOP as your buffer for 100% non contaminated chemical

Way to extensive , theres a way better quicker easier way . It does not hurt the chemical to take the damn pump from the open cell barrel and go straight into the closed or vise versa . Open valve put the chemical into its respective barrel until it starts changing over close valve , go back to the barrel in use and open valve until the chemical is completely changed , no waste and way quicker . No contamination . Contamination is when theres almost a 50 50 mix a the water in the open cell tries to blow the closed cell open . If you've ever spray closed cell incidentally over a small puddle of water (let's say at the bottom of a shop wall ) you'll notice the closed cell will look contaminated because it doesnt like water

It’s seems i loose half a gallon of old material and maybe even a gallon of new since I see two colors of both old and new material in my steam or could I put it into the new drum and it won’t contaminate if there is a tiny bit If old chemical ?

Do y’all turn on the reactor when purging through the hose.or does the transfer purge through the hose with the reactor off.
