In this video I'm using RIT synthetic dye to dye my the carpet in my car from light tan to dark grey. Usually this application is used for bringing a faded color back to original, but it worked just fine for me. Most automotive carpets are made from a synthetic material, so make sure to use the correct dye for your application.
