Today I'm going to show you how to make passive income online. I'll be showing you 3 different business models that you can choose from to start with so that you can build a business that works for you.
If you'd like to see specific examples from several different businesses that I own, here are 9 ways that I earn passive income online: • 9 Ways I Earn Passive ...
With that said, please read on for some really important information about this desire we all have to earn passive income, because there's a lot of information about it online, and not all of it is true.
There are several different definitions of passive income. I'm aware of the traditional definition, such as earnings derived from a rental property, but there's a better way that I have years of experience with and have also taught tens of thousands of others to do.
It involves building online businesses that take advantage of systems of automation that allow transactions, cash flow, and growth to happen without requiring a real-time presence.
In other words, we don't trade time for money. Instead, we invest our time upfront to create assets in the form of an online business that can continually pay us back later.
There are several different ways to achieve this, and the 3 models I share in this video will give you an idea of how you might approach an online business that works for you.
COMMON QUESTION #1: Does generating passive income mean you don't have to put in any work to earn money?
No. Not at all. Creating various passive income streams takes time and a lot of hard work. It's about building a real business that solves a problem, and creating systems, or hiring people such that it can be run on auto-pilot.
COMMON QUESTION #2: Can you create a passive income stream that requires zero upkeep or attention that will pay you back forever.
No. All passive income streams, even traditional ones, require some form of upkeep and maintenance. Real estate portfolios and market investments cannot (correction - shouldn't) be walked away from forever, and neither should any type of online business.
With that said, however, online businesses can be fashioned in a way so that you can walk away from it for a while and it can still continue to run. An online business is a storefront that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (even on holidays), and much more than real estate or market investments, building an online business gives you a lower barrier to entry, as well as a lot more potential upside.
Just think - how much would an extra $1000 per month help you? Imagine how much it would cost to invest to obtain an additional $1k per month in tradition forms of passive income, while building a business online is much more achievable.
Let's do some math to give you some perspective:
Imagine you sell a $25 product. You only have to sell 40 of them, per month, to earn an additional $1000/month.
Imagine you sell a membership into your program for $25 a month. You only need 40 members to generate an additional $1000/month. But then the next month, you obtain an additional 40 members who also pay you $25/month. Now you're making $2k per month.
The most important thing, however, is that whatever product or business you create, that it helps solve a problem. All good businesses solve a problem in some way, shape, or form, so make sure you watch the video to learn exactly how you can approach building a business online of your own.

I'm surprised no one caught on the sarcasm or talked about its possible harm. While it is humor, it will scare some people from Pat, those that have not yet heard that he has been and still is doing other passive income businesses of his own, many successful ones and some that failed. Those businesses are the reason for his relevance and authority to teach on the subject; lessons that will of course, justifiably, earn him more passive income.

I like the idea of putting in hard work now to reap the benefits later. I never really liked the thought of feeling like you are forced to work 40+ hours a week for the rest of your life until you are an elderly person. I'm not averse to hard work at all but I just feel like you also need to enjoy your life and not let work fully define your entire life.
@emperorstevee
@emperorstevee 6 жыл бұрын
Not wanting to work 40+ hours a week for a tiny wage isn't not wanting to work. I love to be productive, and as a result I'd want to ensure that those 40 hours are spent as effectively as possible, which means producing my own income rather than being limited to these handouts.
@ismailel-zein907

40 hours a week? only 40 out of 168 hours that you have, you work only 40 hours? That's not the right path to success.
@NotShowingOff
@NotShowingOff 5 жыл бұрын
Sometimes the investment in time in the beginning may be slow and take years. The 40 hr/week jobs are what sustain you so you can build a sustainable business. This requires a high amount of discipline. Your objective is market share. You don’t care about dollars and cents yet.
@ismailel-zein907
@ismailel-zein907 5 жыл бұрын
@@NotShowingOff what does it require lol. Requires nothing. What is hard is to work 130 hours a week, including in this time daily workout and self development and trying to learn and improve at your craft. Forgetting rest on the weekend. This is hard. Working 40 hours a week even a dog can do it.

Thanks Pat. Great video. You're absolutely right about the audience and advertising model. It takes time and doesn't guarantee a fast turn around. I think the EP model works well and it's not restricted to your core skills like the FP model. One can piggyback on other things out there too. I plan on turning on the passive income switch once I can find a full time job to keep things stable.

I usually dislike "entrepreneur" types and have hopped from website to website trying to find someone that isn't just selling you pure lip service. I bet a lot of them are trying to hold back on as much info as possible to try to get you to buy their books, but you can't tell most times if its that or they dont know what theyre talking about at all. Good job proving to us you're an "expert" as you phrased it, I think that you that giving your audience stuff like this will earn you more than lose.

Just came over from Tim's channel, and subscribed! I'm excited to learn more from you. Seems like you really know what you're talking about. I'm a stay at home mom and an artist, and I've been working the grind for the last year trying to turn my art "hobby" into a decent income source. Honestly, I think I can use all 3 of those models. I'm already on KZfaq and plan to get a blog started along side it, so once I get to a point where I've got enough of an audience for AA to work well, that's pretty much already in place. I'm starting to collect affiliate links, but I'm not big enough yet as an artist to really catch many companies' interests yet. I do have an affiliate link with an art supply store that ships world wide, though. And of course, FP. I'm trying to figure out what sort of visuals people want on products that I can then go produce designs and upload them to POD services.

What a great summary of the different pathways to passive income! I find sometimes it’s difficult to get accepted to be an affiliate. I’m a web designer (so I guess I’m FA) and my niche has specific equipment needs. So I applied to a couple of companies that sell just the stuff they need. Though I followed all the rules (terms of use page, etc) I was turned down. Maybe not enough traffic yet?? It was disappointing. You encourage me to keep trying and working at growing my following!

The rich invest in assets while the poor invest in liabilities, it sounds so simple but the thing is, most people can't differentiate between an asset and a liability. let me break it down for you, an asset brings money to your pocket while a liability take money way from you, Yes anything, i repeat anything that doesn't add money to your pocket is a liability.

The key to wealth is investing, but the rich invest in assets while the poor invest in liabilities, the problem now is people don't know the difference between an asset and a liability, just as simple as it sounds an assets brings in money while a liability takes money away.

Hey Pat, this is helps a lot for someone who is looking forward to enter into this space... especially in times of information overload... This video gave some clear idea about main biz models... would like to see more these type of videos where you declutter unnecessary info and give straight points to concentrate... For me I think FP model is good for starting...with this we will gain experience and grow audience...then we can even scale it to further more areas with EP model... because by this time we will have some authority and following, so we can recommend to others and earn affiliate commission.
