The nice thing about using concrete as a bedding material is that it really holds the pipe in place so you can get a solid screed without worry of it shifting

Why does no one use sand for on top of the gravel base for screeding for leveling?? Is using Sand a waste of money

Sand is an older method. Number nine angular or 8 is the way to go!
