This was my first kill and while I've had cleaner kills I wanted to show that it can be done with a group consisting of level 40, 42, 44 DPS / 43 Tank / 43 Healer. The Depths recommends at least level 45 and offers two challenging boss fights with unique mechanics that we discuss here. Hopefully this covers any questions you might have regarding this fight and allows you to tackle the Depths confidently be it your first time or your hundredth. Archdeacon Azamela Abilities:
1) Summon Hounds: summons a pair of Hounds that perform melee attacks. Kill them asap as two more are summoned veery 30 seconds. Try to tank the dogs ontop of the boss in the center of the arena.
2) Corrupted Entity: summons a grey puddle from which a corrupted entity leaps at target dealing moderate damage to their target and surrounding players. Can be AoE or shot in a straight line... be careful this will do the most damage to your team in phase 1.
3) Corrupted Barrage: casts three rapid Corrupted bolts at their target. The bolts are easy to dodge at range but can also be healed through if everyone is in melee range.
4) Corrupted Blast: Azamela raises his staff in both arms and explodes in a large radius dealing moderate damage to all players nearby and knocking them down. Give time for your tank to re-establish threat if they are hit by this.
5) Apocalypse Mines: During Azamela's Invulnerable state, they will summon Mines around the arena. Starting with 1 and increasing every 3 spawns. If not killed within 3 seconds mines will deal moderate damage to all party members. Try to heal through this, assign 1 dps to kill mines if needed.
