i cant find the fps controller asset

After I add the script there are no options that pop up to add the UI Object or Cube along with the script in the inspector. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, please help. I've followed so many different tutorials and have watched this all the way through probably 10 times and this is the issue I keep running into.

Not sure that you need to add using UnityEngine.UI.. It is greyed out on your editor as well.

I hear years ago, "C Sharp is what to learn..." I ignored it, stayed with Java and Flash... now they are both DEAD. I am doing a 2D with static text. But I want to add the TEXT dynamically to the "board game". I have a grid and 80 squares that get added dynamically. It wasn't too tedious, but I got it down. Now to add text. Why is it so hard? Empty, add component Text. Or just Text? I drag it to the scene and it's not visible. I don't even get this Unity and C Sharp. Help! By the way, I have programmed for some years.... but it was also years ago. I am aware of keyfrrames and scenes, from a Flash point of view. This new API is bizarro for me.
