Me either, but hey, I never believe in these videos either so I tested this once on my old car, which is the junk yard already, and surprisingly, it lasted over a year. For me, it worked really well and gave me enough time to look for a new vehicle before I send the old one to the junk yard

@@AlphaT2Deltawas the engine already messed up? Recently I found out my head gasket was blown and had a radiator leak. I still drove my car that way and it eventually overheated. The car turned off ,so when I checked ,I had no coolant in my reservoir, so I added what I had which is water. That was able to start my car and a trip to autozone which I bought coolant. After I put in the coolant I was on my way back home until my car started to smoke up and I couldn’t start my car anymore, so I had to toll it.

Dude I’m a mobile diesel Mech, against my advice a customer asked me to drop a can of this shit into there 6.0 poor bastard man I did a ton of work on the truck got it good and it blows the head gasket a week later anyways shit worked couldn’t believe was blowing water about 18/19psi to under 16 enough the stock radiator cap would hold and it wouldn’t before…… now beware I’ve personally seen what this shit does inside of motors make sure to very carefully follow the directions we’re talking about clogging water jackers shit like that and cracking the block vs just changing a head gasket ok…. Remember this isn’t magic and no guarantee on this.

My friend used a stop leak for his radiator on a 2008 Buick Lucerne same brand, Blue Devil, i had no expectation that it woukd work. While the engine was running steam was coming out of the driver side of the radiator. He let it idle for a while and then drove it for a couple of hours........it worked, doesn't leak a drop now. 4-18-24 update, it started leaking again after a month or so.

Lasted me about 1 1/2 years as a doordash driver and I put 80k miles between those things and made $40,000 on food delivery. Honda has over 200,000 miles. Runs good, except consumes coolant. Made little sense to change the head gasket without installing a new or rebuilt head and timing belt. Too much time and money if there was another way. I used Blue Devil. At first, I thought it didn't work. Coolant level was still going down. But then (wasn't keeping track of the mileage) one morning, the level hadn't changed. Then a few mornings later (I check every morning) the coolant level was touching the cap. Right where it should be. Will it last? Dunno. But for now, feeling pretty good about Blue Devil.

I would wait about 2 weeks. If the vehicle doesn't overheat, or the check engine light doesn't come on for a misfire, I would do a compression check. If all of the cylinders have great compression in all 4, 6, or 8 cylinders. If the compression is the same in all 4, 6, or 8 cylinders Then congratulations you have bought some time until you have to do a head gasket replacement. If you got a blown head gasket I guess try anything that might help. But I can’t see myself adding anything to the engine besides oil but that’s jus me. I worked for a company that had 5 foremen with 5.7 Hemi trucks that they let idle with the AC on for 8 plus hours everyday btw and not one ever blow a head gasket doing it. But do what you gotta do lol. But I’d recommend for the 5.7 or bigger don’t let it get to this point. Do little things to keep your engine cool if you got a heavy foot like me if I drive more then a hour in summer when I get home I always open the hood let the heat out let the vehicle sit in park for 1-3 mins before you turn the engine off and the last thing I do is turn the key to on and turn the heat up on the floor. Engine still off and let the heat blow out the floor vents for couple mins. Trust me it helps the plan is to prevent blown head gaskets is why I do what I do

Beware this can ruin your water pump. I believe you should take out the thermostat. Used last night. Customer brought to me. I poured it in very slowly. Same as you. Idle for 50 minutes. Started to leak at water pump and started to over heat. Why would it make a leak? If it is to stop leaks. Smh I believe it fixed the head gasket. But it made another problem. Now the waterpump is leaking. Vehicle has no heat. Car had no coolant leaks. Just oil getting into the coolant. Did it exactly as you described. I did notice it hardens up like a rock. I believe it got caught in the water pump. Brand new water pump also. I dont see oil getting into coolant. So it took 1200 job turned it into a 350 job. I hope its not temporary.

Temporary? I have just over 55,000 miles on a Blue Devil treatment. Yes... It plugs the heater core and in time the radiator . Well the truck has 296,000 miles on it. And yes it's the 2002 Ford 4.6 liter. Yeah yeah yeah I know most all Chevrolet Dodge plus the others generally die about half a million miles, no to little rust, very few major repairs when they get over 30 years old tucked away in a heated garage 😂

If your about to sell car for scrap, might as well try at least cheap version of this stuff. Works best on Toyota for some reason or smaller engines. The first car i did this to a Corolla was blowing crazy white clouds. It eventually worked and put another 150k on car before something else went. I also had success on a toyota 4 runner v6. I tried on 3 American cars with v8 engines and didn't even help even a little. I think they create too much pressure!Actually made it worse and some types gets messy. You can clean out when doing head gaskets. Most importantly gotta take thermostat out, let it heat up to normal temps, let cool all the way down, repeat up to 10 times if it gets better each time. I had a equinox head gasket start to repair but ultimately didnt hold up because of type of gasket failure. That failure was allowing hot exhaust gases in the coolant. It was just too much pressure for it to handle. Had to just fix the right way. If you got a 4 banger or a inline 6 just read a manual and fix right! Their not near as hard to do as a v6 or v8 with two heads. Even if only one side blows, do both head gaskets. Always check heads if their warped. Get milled if they are. Some places will do for 50 a head, other places want around 100 a head but if you do this extra step it will help make a better seal! I do think if you have a nice car, you should just fix the right way! If your in a beater trying to get every last mile out of it before junkyard , i say go for it!
