Feel free to comment any suggestions on what I should make next. I would also appreciate any constructive criticism about this video and what I can improve on! Wanted to add some extra tips that I didn't mention in the video: 1. Parrying the Dice as soon as he claps his hands will ALWAYS result in a 1, making it easier to get the Tipsy Troop as your first boss or simply moving one space to a safezone 2. You can apparently still stand behind King Dice's hand during his attack. You could do this and aim up with Crackshot to deal slow damage. You're gonna have to guess whether he'll put his hand on the left or right side though, but I wanted to let you all know that this still works apparently. Twist Up would be a good choice of weapon if you're committed to doing this strat. 3. You can honestly just constantly restart the fight to get the heart placements on the bosses you typically fight. So, if you're using Smoke Bomb for example, from my recommendations, you'd want the hearts to be on Chips Bettigan (2), Hopus Pocus (5), and Pirouletta (7).

I was stumped on doing king dice himself without damage until you brought up the dashing part. That was a huge game changer for me since I was constantly trying to dash while parrying them, so thank you!

Nice video! I’ve already S-Ranked KD but this is pretty good advice! Tho I usually use Roundabout (Reasons you mentioned in the video), and Spread (KD himself), Charm: Smoke Bomb and Super Art I. And my recommended bosses to fight with this are: Mr. Wheezy (3), Hopus Pocus (5) and Pirouletta (7)

From what I recall, for each boss you defeat, 1 minute gets added to the time requirement, so if you fight 4 bosses and then King Dice, you'll have to beat the whole fight under 5 minutes. This still seems to check out from my experiment from a few months ago so hopefully that's helpful in some way!

Can you make a video how to just do this in general? Without any specific ranks? Same for all bosses, your videos are genuinely the best online because you break things down more and add multiple tips/explain your movement

I appreciate it! But to answer your question, does the video NOT show what to do in general? You should still bring the weapons I recommend and Smoke Bomb, select the bosses I recommend near the end of the video and fight them that way, and try to get the Hearts if you can. That's why I like doing S Rank guides, because they typically apply to the boss in general while still optimizing it as much as needed for a harder difficulty (this isn't true for every boss since some phases can be very different between modes, but King Dice doesn't in this case). But yeah, everything I said should apply to Regular mode as well unless I'm missing something.

@@MrKap for this video yes, but there are a couple boss fights where your loadout and playstyle is specifically geared towards the S rank I’ve noticed when watching through. Which is fine, still the best tutorials we could find, but right now my girl and I are doing co-op just trying to beat the game for the first time 😅 so some of the stuff in other videos is a little above our caliber but we’ve been making good progress! Ty! Maybe what we need is in-depth co-op guides 😉 nobody has made any good co op videos! Just a few that have 0 commentary showing them clear the level

I'd say Spiral Pillar or Ghostly Barrage are the picks for King Dice. Spiral Pillar can deal fast and easy damage for King Dice, and Ghostly Barrage is just a decent super that covers the whole screen AND gives a free parry, which is cool.

When it was my first time S ranking King Dice I sucked but now it's really not that bad am so good at it now that I can hit the dice perfect without P Suger

if I was good at the dice i would be able to s rank easy. But i'll see it being like 3/4 a 2 and 1/4 a 3 then get a three

For king dice I use ms chalice and the two weapons I use are charged shot and twist up now hear me out twist up may seem bad but they’re good for the bosses I fight. I pick chips as my first mini boss I fight pippin dot as 2nd and puroletta as 3rd boss. For chips I use twist up and dash roll thru his attacks. For pip n dot since you can stay a lot closer with ms chalice I use twist up ( and of course jump over spikes , dodge and parry their projectiles and jump or kill the domino duck). Now with puroletta I instead use charged shot here’s thing when puroletta comes spinning towards you , usually your charged shot is charged so when dodge roll past her you do damage and dodge roll thru the roulette balls . 13:02 Finally King dice now I kind of cheese him , if you go behind his arm ( example : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kLyenqtpudCtqH0.html ) then face away from him and shoot up using twist up , all your shots will arch over his and do lots of damage rinse and repeat until boss is over aaand that’s all folks!

I thought they been patched that King Dice exploit? Plus, it relies on using Twist Up for that specifically for your case, and while it can work, it's just so... ehhh... unnecessary. I try to dumb down these guides as much as possible while also getting all the information and strategies I want to convey out as well, but if the player can't parry at that point in the game, then they really should get better at it.

@@MrKapll that’s because I use ms chalice which makes it harder to parry and this is coming from someone who s ranked the devil before king dice so not a skill issue just makes life easier and you need rest your fingers for other bosses cough , cough , chef salt baker ,cough , cough. Also this was after I beat base game and dlc I found out that trick.

Trick:for the Hocus Pocus boss fight, if you don’t have the smoke bomb. Stand at the middle of the card and duck and somehow,the skulls will not hit you

That is very interesting... If you tried it again recently and it still works, then it only works on Switch then, which is peculiar. This has been patched out for a year or so on everything else.

I’ll always 100% fighting Hopus Pocus wherever I’m using. Why? Well, I learn that there is a cool technique that can make him 250% easier to fight. What’s the trick, you may ask? It’s easy as pie. When Mr rabbit use his spinning skull attack, duck while standing on the platform. This will allow you to completely dodges his attack. But remember, this technique only works in expert mode. I hope this helps!

@@skysnake6251 Then it must ONLY work on Switch, assuming you've tried it again recently. It doesn't work on any other platforms, and I've personally tried PC and Xbox, and by connection PlayStation since both are the same console release.

Pro tip: jump when the dice is 2 numbers before the one you want(ex. jump at 1 if you want 3, 2 if you want 1 and 3 if you want 2)

I beat it with the divine relic, but at the time of him sending the marching cards he glitched and didn’t send anything, so I s ranked him pretty easily xD.

To beat king dice easily use divine relic it can use every charm except the Cookie and p sugar

That's assuming you have Divine Relic, and it feels quite unnecessary to be frank. It makes fighting the bosses more complicated than they need to be, constantly having to switch to the right weapon for the job and not switching off of it. If you just pick the easy bosses that I mentioned in the video, you'll only need at max 2 weapons that you can just pick from your loadout already.

The Monkey mini boss is the most annoying one, I hate that monkey, I prefer restart all over again than doing it, it's better to skip it

The only problem with this boss is because i keep getting 4:20 - 5:15 min and i need to get 4:00 or less. I’m not joking i beat king dice on expert 21 times for 4 hours just for the timer to be too high

Could you explain me how time meter works here? I mean, you CAN'T beat this in 2 minutes or less.

So each boss you fight against (including King Dice himself I believe) during the fight reportedly adds a minute to the S Rank Timer. Meaning that the minimum amount of time you have to S Rank KD is 4 minutes, because you have to fight a minimum of 3 mini bosses before fighting KD himself. This isn't much of an issue, because most mini bosses can be beaten in under a minute no sweat... other than Mr. Chimes; and that's why you shouldn't ever fight him. He takes a long time to beat and actively risks losing the time requirement, so it's best to learn how to hit the dice well so you can always avoid him and other bosses.

It's 1 minute per boss you go against I think, so the minimum 3 mini bosses you have to fight plus King Dice adds 1 minute, so normally a 4 minute time requirement.
