Hey uncle Ben duck owner here with a suggestion to get garbanzo bean to leave you alone! (I hope you see this) Drakes often need about four hens to keep them busy. Otherwise the remaining females become stressed out by the drakes advances. Thus i would suggest getting him more girls so that he hopefully leaves you alone more often

it's a good suggestion but how is uncle ben supposed to get more girl ducks? unless there's a duck rescue with too many females and even then i don't think he wants to knowingly take on more work 😔

I can see why you (or others) might be concerned for those reasons, but i do have a response to that: 1. Many domestic ducks are dumped at the river side or ponds every year and unfortunately starve or fall to predation in the wild. (especially in this season). If there are abandoned females /another rehabber has ducks that’s a good place to start. He also knows other KZfaqrs that own ducks if i remember the lore correctly. 2. More ducks does not equate to more work, honestly just a bit more feed. It might actually save him time by not tripping over Garbanzo Beans constantly.

Part of me can't help but wonder if Garbanzo Beans sees Uncle Ben's Lightning McQueen crocs as other hens, as I can only recall seeing this behavior of walking between his feet and getting in the way while he's trying to walk around happening *only* when he wears those specific shoes 🤔 Thus why Garbanzo keeps bugging Ben as he thinks he has three girls in total but two of them are only around Ben.

Ben, I'm sure you already know this, but if you do want Garbanzo Beans to stop, you just need to completely stop throwing him. Every time you give him any attention for following/biting you, you're rewarding and reinforcing it! (But since he's been reinforced so much for so long, it would probably take a LONG time for him to get the message, if ever.)

Garbanzo beans was inadvertently trained to do that uncle Ben. See, he really enjoys all that attention he gets from it. In other words, you unknowingly rewarded that behavior. He goes at your feet. You throw him. Each throw is it's own reward for him.

I’ve only been following these videos for a little while, but they make me giggle. I do wish that there was more info on the animals every time something interesting happens I get three seconds of it, but I’m addicted. I have one question what is garbanzo beans deal can he not take off flying by himself? Does he like to be thrown because then he can fly not sure if he has a disability or if he’s just a weird duck
