I didn’t know about the “interpret footage” feature in Premiere! I shoot in 60 fps and have been manually adjusting each clip, which takes forever! This will save me substantial time in the editing. Thanks so much!

Thank you for doing this, it's definitely a step in the right direction for me. I want to get into real estate photography and drone video, I purchased a Mavic air 2 to get me started (until I can afford something better.). An Insta360 one x camera for 3D photography while I raise funds for a dedicated camera for indoor photography. Any advice on my approach? Also what camera should I start looking for?

Thanks so much for watching! Glad I could help in some way on getting your journey started in RE photography. Sounds like you're on the right track. As far as cameras go, I personally use a Sony A7iii. I highly recommend it. If that's too expensive for you at first you could go with the A7ii or one of the crop sensor bodies like an a6600, a6500 or a6400.

Thank you very much for the video, this information really helped me starting out here in the drone photography and videography business. I was wondering, how do you deliver these videos to clients? I assume the file is too big to send in email, so do you use a file sharing service and upload the footage? Do you ever deliver it hard copy with a USB? These are great videos! Thanks for making this channel. One question, what is the advantage in shooting in one frame rate and then scaling it down to a lower rate in post? Why not shoot at the frame rate you're looking for? Thanks.

Biker In A Hat thanks! Shooting in a higher frame rate and then confirming to a lower frame rate creates slow motion. For the drone I shoot in 30fps and go down to 24fps. It’s not a big difference but slows the footage down ever so slightly and gives it little more of a cinematic look in my opinion.

I don’t usually find I need to do any color grading for my drone shoots. I shoot hdrs for drone photos if that’s what you mean?

JAMES NEWTON thank you! I recommend the Mavic 2 pro because of the 1 inch sensor it has. I’m wary of other drones with the smaller sensors. what video color profile do you shoot in.. Dlog-M, HLG or none? also what encoding format? I was going to shoot in log but then would have to color grade..would that be over kill for real estate?

I just shoot in the standard profile for real estate typically. I shoot in H.265 lately.

Hey Mike, this might seem like a stupid question but I get confused. I went to the transition pack you linked and I'm not sure if I can just buy the regular license or if I need the extended license, to just use these transitions in real estate videos. Do you know which license creators like us need?

The regular license is only good for a year I think? Not exactly sure myself.

@@InsideRealEstatePhotography So it doesn't have any time limits. It just says that regular license you cant charge an end product...but then it also says freelancers can charge their client. All the copyright stuff is so confusing, I hate it. I wish it was simpler. I have no idea which version to purchase because even reading their faq, I'm still unsure which license to purchase.

what type of macbook are you using and would you recommend it over a pc

That is a very controversial topic! Haha. I definitely love my MacBook but there is an argument for getting a lot more for your money with a pc but PCs don’t last as long. I’ve been using Macs since 2002 so it’s sort of ingrained in my dna at this point. Mine is a 2016 MacBook Pro. It does the job and works great but is starting to fall behind in the performance department. Thinking of a new one in 2021.

Not necessary but it is nice to have the extra resolution while editing on a 1080 timeline to be able to punch in on shots and re-compose if you want to.

I still can't get my raw mavic pro footage too look anywhere as good or saturated as those. Mine are always so flat and desaturated. color editing makes everything look terrible. any tips on settings to shoot at for best quality footage?

@@Ancaja123 that’s probably why. Mavic pro 1 has a very different camera. I loved the form factor but never bought one because I never loved the image from it so used the phantom 4 pro before this. The mavic 2 pro was basically the merge of the phantom 4 pro image quality with the form factor of Mavic so it was a match made in heaven for me.

@@InsideRealEstatePhotography good to know!!! for some reason I thought it would have been similar to phantom 4 image quality but now I get it, Mavic was they're first attempt at a smaller portable drone package, and camera quality was skimped in comparison. I may upgrade soon then. Also thank you for the tips in this video, I had no idea you could put in In and Out points with the keys that was sooo helpful.
