Over the years I have developed a formula to doing real estate drone shoots that will help you streamline your operation and save you valuable time on site and get you great results. Your Channel has helped me a lot - although I still don't know if I like HDR, Flambient, or your hybrid model for interior shoots - You've given me the confidence to go out and experiment. My girlfriend builds multi million dollar homes and she's given me the chance to take her photos. My last shoot didn't turn out how I'd hoped (windows didn't pop as much as I liked), so I think I'll use a hybrid shoot next time. Thanks for the tips. I've learned quite a bit from your channel, you've got a lot of great content. I shoot for a couple companies in a decent sized urban area and 99% of their listings are in traditional, compact neighborhoods typically with many trees. Some of your techniques from this video are "universal" but others aren't as applicable when shooting in a neighborhood with houses ~15 feet apart. I'd love to see how you shoot homes when you don't have as much freedom with the drone. Thanks again, take care.

Mike just to let you know - did our first real estate shoot yesterday. 2 photographers - the other guy is a friend is kinda of good but using his own knowledge thinking he has to take the shots at a high angle. I just used your tips and my shots were phenomenal. I find your editing techniques a bit difficult but I will try to lock myself in and get it. But your content is awesome - 2 million kisses.

Hi Mike, great tutorial! I plan on using your methodology for my shots moving forward. Since most of these shots are taken during the day, do you use any type of ND filters? Your video quality looks great!

Thanks Wes! I don't use any ND filters for RE shoots simply because I want to be able to switch back and forth quickly between shooting photos and videos and I don't want any ND filters on my photos. If I was just doing video only then perhaps I would throw one on. It may be ok with having them on for photos as well but I'll have to experiment with that as I feel like it would negatively effect the quality.

This is great! One question: when you're doing your orbits (or at any time), are you using Active Track or are you controlling both sticks at the same time?

Thank you! I'm doing it all manually. The active track thing works but it takes a lot of time to set up and wastes a lot of battery power!
