Finally, a wedding photo editing video that doesn’t start with “and now I’m adding my $100 preset and not showing any of the settings it affects.” Would definitely love to see more wedding photography content! Tips on how to get started, build a client base, etc would be great!

I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed this 💛 To be perfectly transparent, I do use my own presets to edit my wedding photography just because it's such a time saver and keeps all my photos + weddings looking consistent, but obviously it wouldn't be very helpful in a tutorial as you pointed out! And thank you for the suggestions, I'll note them down!

Would love to see how you handle your workflow for everything after the wedding. Narrowing down all your best shots, what point you ask the client for approval on proofs, how you manage your files, etc. I can imagine you guys run a really tight ship with that kind of stuff. You're so efficient and organised at everything you do!

Nice edit! Just that radial filter seems too strong for me. Maybe subtle vignetting would be better and look more natural.

Thank you! And yeah, the radial filter is definitely up to personal preference - you could for sure use a vignette instead to make it look more subtle instead!

Marek Šurkala the first edit she shows its no where near as strong looking, the photo seemed to get a bit more dramatic in the second edit but I still like the look of both

Julia, I really like how you keep the natural colors in yet it still looks moody! That's something I've been striving for but I think I rely on Dirty Boots Presets too much.. This is will help me make that first step! Thanks so much!

Radial filters are fabulous. I absolutely love using subtle light and shadow placements to draw more attention to the focus of an image; a radial filter is one of my favourite ways to do that.

Thank you so much for this video. I never thought about using split toning for portraits, and your use of the Blue tone curve really made a lot of sense to me. I love using the radial filter for portraits because it's like a more fine-tuned vignette. I actually appreciate that you don't do much wedding content, but I'm sure any wedding content you post will be just as amazing as all your other videos.

Another great video! I like this one in particular because you explain how to bring out mountains in the background and foliage in the foreground in a portrait, while maintaining natural skin tones.

Thank you! Yeah I feel like editing wedding portraits has a pretty different approach to just my usual portraits, lots of little things you need to look out for/can work on to make it a stronger image :D

You should do a Taylor Jackson wedding photography style shoot with a video camera on top of the picture camera and do a voice over and then do an editing tutorial

I'd love to see more wedding content for sure. Do you edit from "scratch" everytime or do you use your own presets to speed this up? That's a lot of editing individual shots otherwise from a wedding.

Thank you! I always use my presets for weddings to speed things up and keep my work looking consistent 😊 then just do minor tweaking to all the photos!

I’d love to here about your workflow once you get your photos into LR. I’m horrible at culling and over-deliver so maybe your opinion and suggestions on that. Also, would be awesome to know your sort of flow posing you do with couples to get variety. How long do you spend photographing the couple? I’ve only done a couple of weddings but the couples always seem bothered to be taken away from their receptions to do portraits. ANY tips for bridal shots would be hella helpful too!!!!

There is a little "on off switch" for each panel. After she edits a panel, she clicks that switch off and on to remove and apply that panel's changes.

@@Smoothblue90 Yeah that's what I thought but at 9.05 she shows the before and after for the radial filter and there is no switch for that. Perhaps ctrl z ctrl y ?

Yep that's right, there's an on/off switch for each panel, and the before and after of the radial filter was just with the \ shortcut - so it was a complete before and after, not just of the radial filter!

@@saracenrush2010 Yes there is. Each of the tools to the right of the crop tool has a switch on the bottom left of the panel that opens up when you click on the tool.

Can you yourself see any problems with your "workflow" in Lightroom? It seems to me that you could save time by doing the adjustments in a more logical order, like the order they are presented in LR.

Haha omg thank you! I agree that sometimes sharing the process really breaks down a final image and you see things that you otherwise wouldn't because you're paying more attention to it. But anyway, the couple love their photos so that's all that really matters 😄💛

Naga Photography that’s probably up to you and your personal style, and also whether you have a full frame or crop frame sensor.

No, I actually always use my own presets to edit weddings as it keeps all photos from a wedding day looking consistent + keeps my weddings in general looking consistent so my clients know what to expect :) For a tutorial it's not really helpful to use a preset though haha so these are the general things I would normally do/look out for while editing a wedding!

This is just one photo out of many that I delivered to the client, so there are lots of other shots and compositions to cover all bases such as full shot of the dress, etc :)
