How to enable 4k on your xbox series x

If you have a 4k tv and your xbox is not displaying 4k try the steps in this video. This is how I fixed the resolution on my xbox series x. This may also fix 120hz if your tv supports that. This Vizio however does not have 120hz.
If you are wondering why this video is vertical, it is because this is a KZfaq short.

4k res is dumb anyways 1080p 120 is way better in any multi-player scenario but for single player / rpg it does look pretty

If you don't select the resolución to 4k on seriesX and put it on 1080p 60hz ( having the "alow 4k " checked of course) everything you will see and play will be looking 10 times better due to the amazing subsampling the console does while rendering 4k content trough a 1080p port (specially if it's a 2.1 HDMI port). Trust me it's more than true and it enrage me how nobody talks about it on KZfaq.

Thanks this worked ! Think me and you have the same tv, was playing the ps5 for a while , hooked the series S back up and wouldn’t detect the 4K . Went through the process and it worked !

I have a problem with the tv simply not showing my screen at all as if my xbox isn't even plugged in. It's stupid annoying and nobody has advice that works . Ffs

You have to hard reset your Xbox to switch back to lower fidelity. Log press sync or open button and power button until it beeps twice. Go from there.

My Series S was showing 4K but I fucked it up messing with the settings.. I’m factory setting the tv and hoping I can go back and do this. I miss my Series X 🤦🏾‍♂️
