I'm looking to install this system into a large office building currently served with an older hard wired system with multiple partitions.

Hi Rick! The hub 2 Plus model supports up to 50 Rooms which can be controlled separately. The hub as well as other devices and sensors have built-in batteries so they can operate when offline.
