This video should be specifically renamed to denote that it worked for you on your Indian ROM only. (i.e. MIUI 13 Redmi K40 SKHINXM Indian Global ROM) It does not work on my MIUI 13.0.8.0 (stock-updated, rooted, Redmi 10, non-K40, non-Indian Global ROM) As noted by Marcin J and others below, this does not just work on "all" global ROMs. It appears to work only on your Indian ROM version 13.0.4.0 for your K40 device. My widgets just "float" around and do not place, and the "apply to home" button does nothing.

Same here. I think Global ROM doesn't have a app vault. It only included with Indian ROM.

Apparently, you need to enable app vault instead of google discover for it to work :\

After adding the widgets tho, you can turn on google discover again, but yeah, to add a new widget in the future, you'll need to redo the entire process

Where.have you been all this time, brother? Thanks so much for sharing this. It worked 100%. Though my Redmi 10 currently runs on MIUI 14, this should be compatible on devices running on MIUI 13. Remember to make sure that App Vault is set as -1 on home screen instead of Google Discover to make it work.

Hey munchy, I've Poco x3 pro and I'm facing a problem where if I lock my device for 5 minutes and then unlock and rotate the screen from portrait to landscape or vice versa, the screen freezes and it reboots automatically. I'm on miui 13 India stable with no bootloader unlocked. Have you faced this problem or I need to go to the service centre?

@@munchy_cool So is it because of memeui or that buggy pmic? And now it reboots whenever it wants, the above steps makes it reboot too but now if I don't do that it still reboots when screen is rotated.

Bro I updated my poco x3 pro to miui 13 and I installed twrp and magisk .. but when i install the miui launcher module on magisk it's doesn't work .. the option of chosing between the the launchers not showing !

Unfortunately this method does not work on European ROM. My phone is Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, Android 11, RKCEUHM. This method is popular, but it mostly applies to India. If you have information on what to do for European ROM please share

Not working on IN 13.0.4 aliothin Drag and drop just leaves the widget floating and you can't interact with anything at home screen until pressing back

I have exactly the same. the widget is floating and there's nothing you can do. I have global eea 13.0.5, I tried on google Discover and off but no changes. I have the latest vault app and the newest launcher. Has someone managed to fix the problem?

@@cerealwithwarmmilk because brother.. after rooting only these banking apps are creating all issues... My cts profile and all is also fully passed . Still banking apps keeps shutting down as it's rooted.. and without root on EU ROM all my needs like call recording and miui msgs are solved.. so hence don't want to root..!! Hope you can help now.. Pls

Hie Munchy, or anyone reading my comment, my device is one plus 5, I am not able to install Netflix on it, I had previously installed but uninstalled yesterday for some reason the playstore says “not compatible with the device” but I tried different older versions of APK too, I just can't re-install it back, it's giving me a popup whenever I try to install Netflix APK, it says “do you want to update the app to the existing app, ?” but I have uninstalled the app. What I am missing here? Also, my device is rooted and all magisk root is hidden, and all safety net is also okay. Help me. Thanks.
