UPDATE: It seems like for those of you with a 2016 you most likely will not have the hood switch option listed in your BdyCM in Forscan. If this is the case then you will need to go to the dealer or use IDS to have it enabled.

I just bought a 2017 FPIU. My menu setting seem very limited in regards to what I can see about the vehicle including idle hours. I ordered the forscan usb module but was wondering where do I go in forscan to enable more setting in the vehicle menu?

Love the video, I do have a question, so Reid had to go to the dealership for them to get his vehicle to “see” the hood switch, how were you able to do that? (do forgive me if you said so in the video I rushed through since I was on my way back to work from lunch) do you think it was because of the different kits that yall used?

Edit: It seems that the 2016s do not have the hood switch option listed in the body control module. 2017+ should be fine. Not sure what issues he ran into. I did not mess with the perimeter alarm, and I changed enabled the hood switch and remote start in both the BdyCM and IPC modules. I did it all with Forscan, although I do have an IDS on the way to start messing around with some other advanced settings.

will you be releasing a comprehensive video on forscan for this car? i have forscan and i wanna do some AS-built programming but im scared id like to disable the police trunk enable drl honking on lock and unlock basically anything that can add some creature comfort back to this car would be nice

Did you consider Easyguard brand before settling on Start-X? Would be nice to get remote start and push button start. And a modern looking fob. Curious if anybody watching this has any experience with Easyguard. For the price it seems too good to be dependable.

As much as I would like a modern key fob, I wanted to go with as much "plug and play" of an option as I could. Start-X was the best option as I could find for the price.

Yes, you need to purchase an antenna. I have one and will be doing an install video soon.

Does this kit affect the factory secure idle function at all?

If equipped, no it shouldn't. It only works when the key is in the on position to activate. The harness used didn't have a key switch harness so it should be fine.

I need some help. I have everything installed with this system but when I go into the bdycm module there is no hood switch option. The ipc has it so now I’m not sure what to do

If it is not showing up in Forscan then you either need to take it into the dealer to enable or figure out what the AS-Built settings are to change it manually. I just looked over the spreadsheets I have and did not see one. I can try to figure out what it is by going into my AS-Built but it may take a day or two.
