I just literally did this. Covered myself in Orchid Soleil and then watched 10 fragheads review it lol It is interesting because different people pick up different notes on their skin.

I definitely go and sniff my perfumes when I’m really wanting to buy something because it reminds me I have so many that are great but barely wear so adding another feels less urgent (it’s crazy how “urgent” it can feel). Adjusting my tray helps too. I’m on a low buy too. It’s so pathetic how many times I’ve already wanted to break it. Ha!

The urgency is sooo real! I had some set backs with a couple of makeup items but we still gotta keep going. All of the low Buys I've done in the past had a rough start and then I just keep going instead of saying "oops I failed so might as well quit".

Hi there..last year I went crazy and bought 42 perfumes...some of these cheapies I use at home or to bed but anyway there s still too much...I find it hard to enjoy my favourites but I m not buying any bottles this year so I can put some dents otherwise if you keep buying what s the point? You forget about what you already have and get overboard with your spending...not to mention the prices...I do project pans..it works

I know exactly what you mean about too much getting in the way of enjoying what we love. I have the same struggle currently and trying to declutter to get my Collection to only have lobes. It's overwhelming and it's a cycle that never ends!! Best of luck on your 2024 goals!!

I really enjoyed this video! There are lots of ways we can get dopamine from what we already have rather than always needing the New New. I have been doing experiments with different combinations. Sometimes they fail, but others they create an awesome "new" scent I can add to my repertoire. I like the idea of creating a tray of just things we forget to wear. I'm an "out of sight, out of mind" person, and I don't have a giant closet display or anything even close. I need to dig out my oldie goldies and use them! Thanks for the great ideas!!

I’ve used perfume to make my living room smell nice. I’ll spray the curtains lightly & throw pillows. I love how it smells! Bedroom too. I do use my less expensive perfumes for this. Sometimes even my BBW mists.

I don't know why I never thought of spraying my throw pillows! That's a great idea!! Thank you. I've had many scents I liked the smell of but not to wear. So I'm using them for home isntead.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, I’m rearranging my perfume and spraying spring/summer scents and really getting excited! I also recently catalogued my perfume collection. Talk about eye opening. I had no idea I have 5 identical scents from 5 different brands. No more vanilla juice for me!! Don’t give a $#!* about makeup anymore and just chopped off all 😂my hair(calling it my summer cut, but she should have been called a butcher not a barber). THANK YOU for helping all us fragrance addicts trying to rein it in and manage our impulse to chase the next great bottle of elixir. Keep shining!!

Girl! I wear three or four different fragrances a day when I am home and I spray freely!! Smelling all your collection is a great way to continue to appreciate it. I do have 3 or 4 fragrances that I would like to sell. I don’t keep them with the others.

I already failed my no buy this year. I smelled LVEB Iris Absolu and fell head over heels. Dang it. It's been a tough start to the year, so I'm not shocked. At least I got a cheap lil 1 oz from Jomashop. Not the worst failure, as long as it doesn't lead to more.

All of my successful low-buys have included me "failing" at first. It's a great time to reflect on what drove you to make a purchase despite your low buy? It's the best time to pay attention so we can try to prevent it in the future. It's also an opportunity to be kind to ourselves and observe our behavior from a non judgemental point of view. There's no such thing as falling off the low buy, just keep going and you will succeed!! 😊 ❤

@@CarmenScentrix - you make some good points. Also, weaning yourself off gently is better than going cold turkey. I started no alcohol in September; saying no during the festive/party season was tough but so worth it.

I want to thank you for dropping this video. I smelled B&BW new cherry scent and it wasn’t a love at first sniff. Forgot to use a reward, but then would wind up buying a lotion and shower gel on the next sale. This video inspired me to dig for a cherry scent I own and add vanilla to it to make it more gourmand. I will go and get Firecracker Pop or Black Cherry Merlot scent and pair that with a BBW vanilla like VBN or WIV or WVS. Another thing I can do is pair Kayali Cherry scent and pair it with Vanilla 28. So I have saved 16.95. Use a cashier sound in my head caching!!! Same with the new clementine scent saved another 16.95. Going to pair Orange Vanilla Twist or Sparkling Orange Spritz and Coco Paradise. I am on a low buy. I want true gourmand scents or repeat scents. I am not buying every new scent. And by the end of the month I will know how much I saved. I am going to walk to the feeling of fomo deal with the discomfort, pain and learn to enjoy it.

That's exactly what BBW does with their scents!! They are rarely new or innovative! They just make something sweeter or fresher or more unisex. Once in a while something new and interesting will pop up but it's rare. I'm glad you found this useful! Best of luck on your goals!

Im not doing a no buy but more so a low buy. I have to finish a few bottles this year with big dents and only buying a max of 5 this year. This makes me more choosy. Less impulsive. I’m also doing the 5 on occasions- birthday, mother’s bday etc. In the fall is my hardest time because that when the best drops hit. I like warm and spicy scents. Summer I can prob survive on 1 perfume if that. It’s too hot. The makeup thing thankfully I’m over now for good two years now. My collection is very minimal but wonderful. Easy to choose.

I have the same goal of 5 for the year and hoping it allows me to be way more selective! I'm with you for Summer, I don't even care for freshies. Fall has the best scents! 👌 I really thought I was in the clear with makeup. After 5 years of not wearing much I've started getting into it again. I threw out most of my old stuff and went a little overboard last month replacing things with all the hyped new stuff. 🙃 Best of luck on your goals this year!

I just made a project pan tray of 30 ml or smaller bottles that aren’t going to be repurchased with an emphasis on close to empty or getting old. I also am categorizing by month best to wear and decluttering that way. They will be on my main tray for 3 months, 1 before, their assigned month, and 1 after. I can bring out 4-5 and put away 4-5 each month to keep it updated. I also like to try scents in different temps to see if they work better in an unexpected season. Luckily I haven’t been tempted to buy makeup as I rarely wear it and even then it’s minimal, but I can see the appeal. I get the lack of modern makeup skills. You can also categorize by specific notes or accord types. I love looking for patterns in note composition of my favorites or by the perfumer. My entire collection gets rearranged a lot depending on my mood. Selling on Mercari can be a dopamine spike as well if you have the right mindset. I too have made over $3k back in the last couple years. We are here supporting you on this journey. You got this.

I totally have fun selling the perfume and making money on Mercari! ☺️ I'm too lazy to put more effort in to any other form of selling. Lol. I'm currently working on my outdated makeup skills! Lol. So if I look a little funny sometimes, that's why lol. I've been experimenting a lot. After this video I fixed my eyebrows because the shape was not flattering lol. Thank you for sharing with me!

Thanks so much for this video. This is my 3rd video of you i’ve seen. You have a new subscriber😊I have been getting out of hand purchasing perfumes. Bad enough that I had to buy another shelf. I started realizing it was getting out of control when I begun purchasing the matching cream or lotion. So after your 1st video …was the “Addiction of fragrance/detox) lol. You also spoke about candles. Luckily I had some new Christmas candles that went on clearance. I made another purchase of 3 nice inexpensive candles today and I named today “First Day of Fragrance Detox”. This fragrance purchasing is no joke. As I’m watching this video I’m really liking it because I have been doing some of these things to get my head out of purchasing more perfumes. I admire you and your channel because most KZfaq influencers promote new perfumes and all these freebies but you in another hand talk about what some ppl like myself and many are facing and think it’s ok. In reality it’s an addiction.

Perfume can be a whole rabbit hole! Take it slow and savor getting to know new types of fragrances. There's nothing wrong with our 10 year old makeup skills! Lol. It's probably coming back in style soon! I just want to learn a few tricks since I'm sure there's some better ways of doing things now.

Copying you, I’m gonna make a similar list of projects to work on to distract myself from the lure of shopping & get to work on really having fun owning & curating my collection 🥳🙌💕 …as for makeup, I could totally entertain myself by creating a coloring book of ‘looks’ using the various palettes & makeup in my collection - Amazon has books like that with blank faces where you can use your makeup or pens, etc to color in the looks - have you used those?

Girl, I bought 3 makeup palettes this past year. I couldn’t help it! There were good drops. Your eyeshadow look is amazing btw. I have also continued to declutter perfumes on mercari. I wore safanad last Thursday, gave me the worst headache I’ve had in a long time. I literally put it up for sale Friday night, sold within an hour. I've just started getting into perfumes, so this is great for my foundation. I only have samples so far, and only a couple dozen of those. I did just buy 5 knockoffs on Amazon the past few days, but the first arrives tomorrow. I'm going to apply your ideas to keep myself below $1k for fragrances for the year.

Yes, be careful before you go down that rabbit hole. Smell and test things very thoroughly before any buying. It can easily get out of hand so take it slow. Best of luck to you 💕
