My man that was amazing, i've never been good at editing audio at all and the countless videos i've come across tell the same old story of boosting certain parts of the EQ but explaining why, they assume you're a connoisseur at it, but no you explained it like a Plan for a mission.

I usually just watch the video and dip, but I gotta comment to tell you how unbelievably helpful this video is. It's taken me about a dozen KZfaq videos on EQing to reach one in which the person ACTUALLY EXPLAINS THE THEORY. So thank you. Also, your grading and editing skills are great, and I love the way you explain everything, so thank you! I hope your channel blows up and you become the next big thing

Awesome info presented in a concise professional manner. As a voice artist who has been forced to produce from a newly developed home studio due to the ongoing pandemic. I have had to incorporate a mountain of new information about all things related to recording in order to create the sounds needed to maintain an income. This information is invaluable to to. Thank you for this.

I am so appreciative of how you explained this. Audio is very confusing, and as someone who is trying to get into voice over, it is also very scary to get started due to this. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and enlightening us! :D Like seriously, previously I was using the EQ very randomly, boosting or cutting whatever parts in hopes that it will get rid of some annoying sounds in my recordings. But this brings a lot more sense and logic to what to do or why, I think I'll be much more confident EQ'ing after watching your video! :)

Thanks for a great video. I would consider placing your mic elsewhere or keeping it in focus. Visuals are as important as sound. Your mic. is taking up half of the screen yet it is out of focus, which plays havoc with the eyes as the other half of the screen is in focus. It's kind of like a bad vocal mix... but visually. I hope you accept that as constructive. Thanks again for a great video

I second this comment. Though I'd suggest that were the mic to be placed more to the right, whilst kept out of focus, it'd look like a cool, artistic composition.

Wow super useful! You do a great job of explaining concepts. Do you have any videos explaining the concept of sidechain when it comes to editing dialogue? Like when and how to use it? Thx in advance.

I saw your video about positioning - so you'd have a shotgun mic facing straight or like this i.gyazo.com/4a7d5f44f0da0cc747f89c6f54d8bd8e.png just curious..im so confused which way is the right way for it (Im assuming that studio is treated ultra well acoustic wise)

It looks like the actor in that picture is doing ADR or dubbing, where they're re-recording lines where the audio from the set was damaged or missing. In that situation you'd want to use the same mic that was used on-set and set up in a similar way, so it sounds the same as the other lines from the set.
