Awesome tutorial. Iwish it was more EDM oriented. That way u could have gone deeper with the bass too. Now I feel half satisfied, because u don’t deal with the mids and high end of the bass. Would have been cool with subbass too. A bummer. My kick is finally punching through now. Only my edm bass needs more work 😝

For me, who is a drummer in a metal band, this is not at all topend heavy. So, is that because of the style of music? Even then, it still sounds like more bass heavy and even muffled i would say. Just my oppinion. Correct me if i'm wrong.

You are 100% correct. There are going to be major differences between genres and styles of music. Metal in particular, due to the very dense mixes require a special focus on minimizing the low-end in order to ensure that all instruments can cut through the mix. If you don't often listen to other styles of music, this would sound a bit "dead" because of the lack of top-end in the mix.
