I'm a white belt in BJJ (110 classes so far) Saturday a striped out blue belt caught me in a triangle and I immediately started this escape. As soon as I started, he let go. I don't even know If I was doing it right, LOL!!!

If I try the scape from the locked triangle (the third one) I could hurt the knee or the toe of my training partner if he doesn't open their legs? Sorry for my bad English xD

hello, in the second escape, why do you trap his left arm during all the process?
@acarzt
@acarzt 2 ай бұрын
It's so they can't use that arm to block your leg coming over. Added benefit is you can trap that arm when your leg is over. It's also one less limb available to them for correcting the angle and fighting to keep you in the triangle.

1. is first go to before he locks you in, 2. is for when he locks the triangle, 3. is last resort when you are already choking
