Cool hack: once you have your MP4 export, just rename the file ending from .mp4 to .wav. You do NOT need a third party tool to convert video to audio. Just make sure that you don't rename it to .mp3 because it doesn't always work - just .wav. Cheers!

Excellent. Informative and straightforward. Just a side note......I've used audacity for a long time and once I got ahold of izotope mixing software, nectar, neutron and ozone......you wont use anything else. Definitely worth the money I promise.

@@MisFitStudios Hey my friend I need some help I'm brand-new to hitfilm express which I paid for sa donation $20 And I did not mind paying one bit. I've been editing for 12 years using Corel VSP Will you please simply tell me. All I want to do is export a video to my computer for example the E Drive.. Every time I export I always end up giving the hit film logo. I just want my completely video. I just subscribed please give me a reply Thanks Keith

Hey everyone! There's a plugin at the audacity site the allows you to import only the audio track from an MP4 file. I've just dragged and dropped the Mp4 file inside the Audacity and... the audio track was there, ready to editing

Well, in the plugin section there isn't that many plug-ins... it's the "FFmpeg import/export library".

My version of Hitfilm Express (2021.1) has an audio only preset that enables the soundtrack to be exported without the need to delete the video. This is important if you want to match up the refined audio with the original audio to fit the video.

6 minute video should be one minute. Relevant parts between minute 2:00 and 3:00, also hitfilm has an audio only preset stock

Quick Tip: Audiotonic (free) can do this in just 2 steps, open the MP4 video and then just export to MP3

I think its better if u just get to the point...most ppl prefer short informative vids.(U can just tell us the main fact and then add other usefeul info later)

dont need to convert mp4. i have hitfilm express and there is a default preset to audio only as WAV file. can direct import to audacity

There is allready a PCM WAV in the output Q. Why not use that? :)

Every time I use the PCM option the WAV file isn't recognized by any software and errors if I try to upload it to spotify or anywhere else. have you had the same problem with PCM or do you have any suggestions on how I may get it to work properly?

@Chispen Zcree This can be used in Hitfilm Express and Hitfilm Pro. Just make sure the clip in your editor timeline is highlighted when you right click. The Unlink option should be about a little more than half way down the right click menu!

Bummer. The program says FREE but, when you try to export to MP3 it says you have to have a subscription. I HATE SUBSCRIPTIONS
