Thank you! I can finally see to the back of my drawer! I broke the metal piece as well but I just super glued it back on and it seems to be fine. The drawer just doesn’t open as smooth as it once did but it’s worth it to be able to use the whole thing

How many inches of unused drawer space is supposed to be left inside the back of drawer? We may have missed something, but we still have 2.5 inches of unused space. Is that all we get?

Thanks! I read about this years ago, I think on that Ikea hackers forum, but your video made me want to finally try it! (Actually I begged my boyfriend to do it.) Did you find that when you put the drawer back in, after being all the way out, that you can't push it from too far left or too far right? Like, it closes crooked if I don't push from in the center. If I push back in from the left side, only the left side goes on & then the drawer is cock-eyed. Maybe we did something wrong?

It seems this hack effects the stability of the drawer when being pulled out. Have you figured out a way to make it sturdier with the extension?
