I know the video is old, however, I just came across it as I’m trying to do the same thing to my table. Just wanted to add something useful for further watchers that need it….i took a flat head screw driver and put it in between the plastic piece with the balls and the metal and just popped it off. Doing that didn’t bend anything and was able to put back on from the front part of the slider by putting it in front of the first ball and sliding it into place with no issue, hope my words were not confusing and can help another. Btw thank you for your video it’s the 1st one I came across actually showing it.

Hi, I know I‘m a little late but did you find out what makes the drawer so wobbly/shaky? I‘m having the same problem and can‘t seem to find a solution.

PSA If you have little ones PLEASE don't do this. The drawer stops that way so that the table doesn't fall over. One child dies every two weeks from furnature tipping over on top of them. Ikea has released a safety recall for all of the malm products, and wall mounts for your vanity are available in stores for FREE. Just wanted to help stop this awful cycle.

I now vut my slide in half! ❤ Thank you for a very tutorial video. So Before bedtime i have fixed my IKEA Malm Vanity drawer so i can get it out further out so i can reach into the back. Gonna drill new holes tomorrow for the slides so the drawer is flush to the table instead so it goes out a bit more too so i see exactly everything in the drawer. Now i can reach the back of my drawer at least and see what i have there so no storage (j6st a little bit more moving the slide too forward and i can see exactly everything) so no space goes to waste. Before i could only open half of the drawer and i could not reach into the back even nor see what i had there. It drove me bonkers! I bought some more organizers from Amazon here the other day and now i bought some more too as i can now reach into the back so i awaiting them with the post too this coming week. Now it feels nice i can see into the back too. (Even tho it still is some deadvinkle space but that will ne sorted when i moved the slides by drilling new holes) Am very happy! Thank you. 😃😍🥰❤️ If You have a Vanity like mine from Ikea and cannot reach into the back of the drawer and it annoys you like it did with me then take a look at this link on youtube how to easely fix the drawer. It is quite simple with right kind of tools and a bit of manpower muscels to bend a stopper in metal back and forth. lol. EXTEND YOUR IKEA MALM DRAWER and move the slides. There is lots of videos Bout it here on youtube What you need; A flat screvdriver A nozzle plier A plier clipper A starshaped scredriver/a charged up one Some muscels in arms and fingers to bend the metalstopper to unslide the slider to cut off half of the slider and put it back to bend the metalpiece back! Lol You will see in this video how to do it And remember when you done this you have to secure the table in the back unto your wall or it will tip over which can be a catastrophy as well hurt you! But there are extra holes in the sliders so you can just choose the hole further back on the sliders.
