This finds me on the cusp of deciding whether to leave home, friends, family and dog to pursue my phd or finally give up on the idea and stay with an apartment that's okay but not forever and a job that's comfortable but more of an accident than passion. I have a feeling I know how I'll choose and in the end it will not come down to pros and cons but to feeling. I think you can retroactively learn to love most decisions you take and therefore it's rare to go completely wrong.

I could spend the rest of my life dragging about all the regrets I have which is basically 90% of the decisions I've made. The point is : it leads you nowhere. I've always had the tendency to look backwards and that is just another way of killing your soul. Dwelling on the past will just make you miserable and I even regret the good decisions sometimes. We have been told everything happens for a reason and because of that we feel like every decision needs to serve a purpose. But it really doesn't. I'm more and more convinced that life and the world is nothing but a glorified chaos, burning mess, a nonsense. Nevertheless we do need values and principles to guide us but shouldn't allow them to blind us.

Only we don't _choose_ our own, because free will is an illusion. We are just living beings, just existing and experiencing because all of our decisions are predetermined to happen based on what's in front of us due to our genetics at a given time. Everything in the universe must obey the laws of physics and the same is true for any process in the brain. I've quoted this from another video, not ad verbatim admittedly, but it is quoted from elsewhere nonetheless and I happen to agree with the assertion. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z5l4n5lezquUgHk.htmlsi=b8WkooC2oWLWB3eV Another that leads me to the same conclusion is this one; kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hd2Ri9SW1ZPGoJ8.htmlsi=TnchGF_63x5goSze

I guess it ultimately comes down to what you value more. Do you value what your family wants more than what you want? Do you value stability over doing something more risky but more rewarding? etc. These are questions you might need to answer on your own. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer but yeah. I do believe it's better to talk it with your family, if this is going to also impact them.

You should make an artsy short story in this style where you follow a person's life, and they are always trying to reach the end of a long road, but are forced to waste time in multiple branched-off pathways. They die before they reach the end, but then the camera pans out and we see the person made a beautiful image of a flourishing tree, and where they strayed from their singular path created the reaching branches.

You did what you thought best in the moment; considering what you had and what was happening to you at that point in time. For this reason, you cannot look back on these events and think, “I could have done this instead..” or “this would have never happened if I..”. Life is difficult, we live, we regret, we learn, we grow. In order to live happily we must learn not only to forgive and forget others, but to forgive ourselves. I find myself looking back on past relationships that ended in a less than ideal way. Before I look at the scenarios in a scolding manner, I remind myself that everything happens for a reason. I would not be where I am, and who I am, without this less desirable events. I am thankful for not only the good, but the ugly. Changing my view is enough to keep me going, to pull through.

The best choice when you have to decide to do something is that one you consider less wrong in comparison to others. Always use your reason, that voice that tells you what could benefit you more to your present and future. Don't listen to your temporary mood or emotion, do nor succumb to what you're just feeling in that precise moment, cause you could then regret it. Kant made this example: if you consider to act by feeling, then you will make a lot of mistakes, because then you will act according to what is best for you in thst moment in order to feel better (you will act through your emotions, according to what cause you less pain or cause you more pleasure). On the contrary, if you act according to reason, for example, if you think you should study, because even if you're suffering or you're feeling tired and stressed right now, you accept that's okay in order to achieve your degree and have a better prospect, then you will be acting according to your reason, not according to what you're just feeling in the moment. So, always think what will benefit you more or what probably looks better to you in your future (to work instead being lazy, to choose the girl not just because she is nice but because she's good to you, to love because is better than to be alone, and so on).

I buried the plea from my soul to stop, deep down i knew how fucked up this had got but i just stopped feeling guilt after a while and just kept going with the self destruction, self avoidance shit. I new i needed to quit this habit and find a better job but i just got used to the cycle. Dulling my soul out until i couldn't do it anymore. The addiction, shitty job shitty people shitty location it all became unbearable. So i stopped showing up, got fired and now i have to sit at home unemployed and sort through what the fuck i just did to myself....i feel relieved that i got to go through that experience though. It taught me things about my shadow that i still have to implement but goddamn is it a bitch.

What do you do when you're mid thirties, you're out of work, and you didn't finish your degree? You're not working on the IT certifications that you know, with basic diligence and effort, you could pass and get back on track with your career? I've been asking myself questions like this lately, cause that's where I'm at. There's a certification I'm after but requires me to complete a lower level certification first. I've been struggling with setting aside my ego and just doing it. Time is passing by, though, so I'll get cert 1 done, I'll get cert 2 done, and hopefully get back on track. I think I'm mostly taking to myself. Life passes by so quick and it's so easy to be paralyzed when you realize you aren't where you want to be, but don't let any internal embarrassment or ego lead you to feeling defeated or that everything is pointless - it isn't. It feels much better to hold your head high, and you do so much more naturally when you feel good about yourself.

I honestly have no idea what to do. I kinda wanna do what you're doing and get certification, but dammit if it ain't a hassle. But the more I wait, the more time just passes by.

This video reminds me of Michael Corleone the path he did not intend to take but forced to take faced the life altering consequences like his loss of family, his love Appolonia, his brother's love eventually his dear daughter .. a sign of his happiness, liveliness died with Mary ... If Michael did not take revenge for his brother, if they did not took the life of Appolonia and his unborn child...true Man is a slave of circumstances

All put together i feel the greatest hurdle in standing by the choices we make in life is not so much about the way they affect us but the conditions they put our dependents in. A loner is much safer and happier an individual that a family man…unfortunately!

I would say for myself I haven’t made any decisions of absolute regret. Mostly the opposite, just a lot of wasted time in the wrong places and with the wrong people. I think I tend to stay in environments and in company that don’t want me so life has to give me a lot of rejection to keep me moving since I can’t read between the lines 😂 But like many have said I accept life as is and keep it moving. Less wasted time and more energy spent in intention.

I find this very true. The youth have been and are always apolitical and apathetic to politics. There is a reason why parents are shielding children from the harsh realities of the world. I agree there. Freedom of speeches for the youth, can also do more bad than good. Limits are sometimes needed. It depends which party wins. Either the liberal side or the conservative side. I have no hate against the government, left and right parties alike. I am smart, but not a gifted prodigy. I am rather be choosing The First Amendment. Me, and many young people. I am considered a part of Basic Rights. I am politically apathetic and apolitical as a whole. I'm not selfish, arrogant, or obsessed with judging others viewpoints. I am only a volunteer, and cooperative person. I view things as rose tinted, childish escapism, and simple minded opinions. That's how I view the world through my eyes. But for me, I am legal of age. I'm afraid to grow up. Because I can't be independent. I struggle with pressure. I am no minority. I'm still like a kid. A child to my parents and family alike. I like being treated as a pampered baby boy child. I am no political idealist, not a judge, not a soldier, and not a professional. I am just a volunteering and cooperative youngster adult. People may mention me, that I'm just a kid. Viewing the world through childish escapism and imagination. I am only basic rights, and have simplistic ideal views. That's my philosophy and point of view.

Since being born with a loving family tree. I don't like violence, war, and judging people. I am scared to be a man. Scared to be a leader. I cannot be independent on my own. I need a babysitter, a caretaker, since I'm autistic. A young adult, a pampered baby boy child. I still feel like a kid. When people mention or describe me. They think or know that I am still just a kid. Still a child. Since I view things through my use of childish escapism, curiosity, shyness, childlike behavior and mindset, determination, cute, fun, and passionate tone. Sometimes I complain a bit. There are at times I behave like a crybaby. Folks think that I am not a man. They point at me, that I am still just a kid. A baby boy child. I'm scared and afraid at times. I can't handle too much pressure. I'm not ready for the big world. I love my parents, family, and the people who take care of me, shield me from the harsh realities of the big outside world. I am not here for hate or judging others. I am here for peace, playful, cute, childlike innocence, curiosity, fun, determined and passionate viewing of the world. I am not gonna argue. I find this true about myself. For a young adult baby kid like me. I am still a baby! I am a baby, a young pampered baby boy child. I enjoy acting like a pampered kid, a baby boy child. I am happy being treated like one. By my parents, family, and people who look after me. This is me, Javi Barrales.

Child care and protection, is always a first and good thing. For parents and guardians alike. A needed idea and in case of emergency. In a situation like this occurs. I may be legal of age. A young adult, young man. I feel like I'm still just a kid. In my heart and mind. I am still a kid, a baby child who needs pampering and attention by my family. I am happy to still be this way. I am an adult boy child.
