So true my friend. Not just other believers but Biblically literate "believers". The most traumatic, destructive things in my life came from a Christian or group of Christians. They are nothing like their God. God is so kind and affectionate. Part of my personal ministry is to minister to people that have been injured like i was years ago, by Chriatians (btw,we deserve to be separated from I am very grateful to be a Christian since August 2014). Unfortunately, I blamed God for what they did to me. I was lost and they really damaged me severely. Churches today are mostly Biblically illiterate. Even many pulpits are illiterate today. Churches have something for every level of spiritual maturity to engage in, but they do not teach people how to study their Bibles. Many pastors today can create a spreadsheet and manage a bake sale but they dont know their Bible. Most of the congregation has been in church for years but have no idea what the Bible actually says. Hebrews' author says believers are to move beyond the simple milk of the Word and get into the textual steak and potatoes. All they have time for is television and sports -even the leadership. It breaks my heart that Shepherds and not shepherding. They are referees really. Hear alot about giving but not "people, be in your Bibles". God Himself said in Psalm 138:2 "...Thou hast magnified Thy Word above all Thy name". God puts His Word above His name but Christians don't do that unfortunately. I'm rambling here but I just want people to know that God is awesome and kind and faithful and most Christians are nothing like Him. Personally, I want to be just like Him. And friend, if you in internet land have been deeply hurt by a Chriatian, please know that God loves you and wants you to know Him personally. Please don't blame God for what people do, like I did. @@prettysandra9094 Hi pretty Sandra. Thank you for your statement! God loves you so much that He sent His own Son to die for you. Psalm 34 says, "the righteous cry and the Lord heareth them and delivereth them out of all their troubles". Also same Psalm "...i sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me from ALL my fears". Psalm 56:3 says "what time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee". Keep crying out to Him, He is there for you and here for me. Can I ask you a question? Have you ever placed your faith in Jesus Christ to have your sins forgiven and have eternal life? If you have then all of God's promises are for you.

@@scottwhitley5542 I gave my life to Christ at the age of 7years old and has walked with the Lord since then but I have never being persecuted as such. My head spins .... My mom slept in the Lord 2 weeks ago and actually the church has abandoned us. My mom invested so much in serving God and people. I thought as well that God will heal her. I feel so disappointed by God.
