This still works, I’ve been doing it all morning when I saw how to do it on another streamers video. What you do is you go into the quest that you want, and start with x3 stamina. If the cactuar is there, great, rinse, and repeat. If it’s not, Quit the fight when you get to the boss and drop your stamina usage to the normal amount. Go back into the same level and kill the boss, and then retry it at x3. Keep rinsing and repeating that method. If they don’t show up, it seems like that result is locked in until you defeat the boss. So you’ll only fight him using your normal Stamina, and you can triple your results with the cactus later.

The trick of going in with the 20 stam after trying with a x3 really did worked for me, i got to uncapped a weapon today because of that tip.

Hi i just started playing, from s.e.a server, after watching your video so i try my own method. Here my own method. Cactuar usually appear after 5 to 6 battle after the last cactuar appear. (Sometime 2) so i play the training with 0 stamina use 5 times, then i go for the one that i want to farm. ( between the 5 times 0 stamina, cactuar must not spawn. If spawn, recount 5 battle again.) After 1 to 2 battle using stamina, cactuar will spawn. Sometime if lucky, it spawn immediately. If unlcky, maybe after 3 battle.

Does this mean the same principle applies to when you accidentally allow a cactuar to flee, will you be able to exit the battle by the boss wave or before and retry to get the cactuar ?

The easiest way to test how and when a seed gets reset is to find a cactuar, retire, and then do whatever you think is the trigger (close game, clear another quest, etc), and then reload the cactuar fight to see if it's there again. You did it the hard way lol

they are 3 clases of cactuar 1st is a normal cartuar it give bonus to all drops and exp 2nd is a metal cartuar it give bonus to all drops but it got a better bonus to exp over a normal or gold cartuar 3rd is the gold cartuar it give bonus to all drops but it give the best bonus any coins drops so gil co-op coins

Oh its worth to mention, The cactuar can spawn on Wave 3. I just hit it. Great Video though. Is there a guide on what exactly each Cactuar does?

Not sure if I did it wrong but I just did a boss fight now and only runs 1 and 3 gave rare rewards, the 2nd didn't. I went to details to check and made a very short video in case people thought I was mistaken.

Something I found weird. I got a golden cactuar and retired with 3x boosts. But it dissapeared. Don't know what reseted the seed.

i was just spamming character exp fight while watching this vid and in one of the retries a trio of metal cactuars spawned lol

Imma be honest I have so many Stam refills I just go to 300-500 Stam per farm stage and cactar metal cactar and gold cactar just be rolling in

But with this method if you check 20 times you are already wasting a single drop. The idea is to do this less than 60 times to see if a Cactuar spawns on a times three attempt after doing the first 20 stamina clear?

I kinda dont understand the loop, after defeating the boss with normal stam and go to triple stam, you need keep to quitting until they appear or defeat the boss with the normal stam again ?

Seems like if you missed out on the cactur spam resets you could have a long grind to level units since the developers patched it and seems like they will keep patching any loop holes to leveling. That could deter people because grinding in this game the normal way is tedious lol

Why no mention bout the rare enemy buff? I keep getting rares 7/10 times for hrs XD

Has anyone tested if you can just run on individual runs until a cactaur appears, retire, and then go back in with extra stamina and have the seed still be there?

Ive been trying to tell people 1 by 1 runs are better. Ive had 3 cactuar spawns back to back same stage. Its just rng you guys are chasing your tail. The boost pass is a trap.

My god. 2000 stamina later and not a single cactar. PAINFUL. I’m not sure if this is patched or if missions with rare resources make the cactar more rare. I’m about to give up this method because it does not work.

They just released cactuar event, so sadly your video is pointless now haha. At least we can now farm infinitely with the zero stamina quest.
