I repair plaster walls following an electrical re-wire of my house. I use Thistle Bonding plaster and Gyproc Easi-fill to get a smooth, professional finish ready for decorating.

It's refreshing to see viewers that have actually left some really nice and polite feedback regarding the work overall, and the use of skrim tape. Usually on instructional vids, especially of the DIY sort, all you get are "know-it-alls", who think their way is the only way, but seriously, it's nice to see. Good job by the way :)

Thank you for your kind words and I agree with you entirely. I'm very lucky as I do get some very good feedback from my subscribers which helps both myself and others who watch these vids. We can always learn and there's always more than one way to tackle a job so it's important for viewers to be aware of the options and to make informed decisions. I always approve 95% of all comments on my vids including those which are critical. I only remove those which are offensive or very rude. It's fair to say that you do get a fair share of "know-it-alls" and plasterers are the worst by far. I do appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment and wish you a great weekend. Take care, Des

Fantastic 2 Videos mate. Just going to do a similar job in my mother in laws house. My brother God Rest him was a plasterer and i watched him many times but needed a refresher course. Both videos I really enjoyed and let me tell you I have worked on many sites in the past (I was a painter) where so called professional plasterers didnt leave it half as well done. 2 Things. I agree with an earlier comment from a sparky (Mark Nicholls) about removing the switches and sockets. The tape is always a good option where there is a risk of plaster shrinkage. Well done.... Really impressed me...

Louise - absolutely no need to be nervous. Just follow the steps in my vid and you'll be absolutely fine. If you're prepared to challenge yourself to do this I'm sure you'll be glad you did and happy with the result. Providing you FINISH OFF with Easill you can sand down any ridges afterwards and / or fill in any nooks and crannies. This is a really easy plaster to work with and will save you loads compared with something like Polyfilla which costs a lot from typical DIY stores and comes in small boxes. Also, make sure you frequently wet your blades so they don't accumulate debris and leave loads of lines. Please also note that you will need to use Bonding plaster to fill out the chases before using the Easifill mentioned above. Go for it. Get back to me if you have any probs. ATB, Des

21st Century Caveman - what would you do for copper pipes chased in Des? Would a plastic conduit help or will plaster not bond to it?
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 4 жыл бұрын
Hiya buddy. With copper pipes there is no need to cover them with conduit. However, I would suggest wrapping some duck/duct tape around the entire length so they are more resistant to corrosion by any cement based products which you may subsequently use. Although copper is an inert material and very resistant to corrosion (hence its use in water pipes), cement, if used, is known to corrode the copper. You don't need to wrap them round like the handle of a tennis racket though, just get a strip or two and run it down the length of the pipe to cover all sides which will be exposed to plaster. Hope this helps my friend. Des

@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 5 жыл бұрын
I thought you might say that which is why I asked. This may be possible if you're fortunate enough to get a really good finish with only little practice. However, that might be a little ambitious and you may need to do a bit of sanding down after the plaster has dried to get a good enough finish to paint over and/or even apply a second coat. When you paint a newly plastered wall it tends to show up every imperfection. Just thought I'd make you aware that you may need to use lining paper and then paint over that to get the smoother more professional finish. I actually had to apply a second coat of the Gyproc Easifill on a number of the chases as the finish on the first coat was not adequately smooth and had some noticeable blemishes. Let me know how you get on my friend. Good luck with your project. Best wishes, Des

When I have previously done this I have used the ready mixed stuff - but that costs a lot if you have a lot to do, and I have a whole house if we can't find a plasterer. I have just now done one room so it now looks like yours did in the end of your first video. So far so good I think I will have a go at top coating it tomorrow.

Great stuff. Sounds like you're on a roll mate. Don't be too concerned about getting all the extrenal edges straight - as long as they're feathered in that's sufficient. If all the edges are straight they're easier to see whereas if they don't follow a regular pattern they're easier to blend in with the wall (if that makes sense). . Really pleased that things seem to be working out for you buddy. Keep me updated. Des

One thing you put my mind at ease with - I left my bonding coat to fully dry which I was then told was a terrible idea. Looks like it didn't cause you a problem though! So thank you :)
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I'm not sure why anyone would tell you that tbh. Nonsense as far as I'm concerned. Why? Thick layers of plaster dry out at different times. Even if the top layer (the most recent plaster layer) dries out OK, the plaster underneath may still be drying out for some time. As it dries out it will shrink and may cause top layers to crack (called fire cracking i.e. like a desert) Also, we're using two different types of plaster here. The top layer is a very light plaster and the Bonding coat is much heavier. Ignore previous advice. It'll be absolutely fine. Thank you for watching. Des

If it’s done on the same day you shouldn’t need pva between coats but otherwise you should use it as it controls the suction and stops it drying and going off while you’re still working it Best to use sbr not pva as it stops suction completely and drys in about 20 minutes Costs more but is the only thing I use now Use it neat and paint on 1 decent coat Have a cuppa Crack on

Hi, I personally wouldn’t of used scrim tape in this situation as it’s mainly used to reinforce joints in plasterboards. Also I would maybe consider using multi finish for patch work although that said easy fill is a great product to use on certain jobs. Good to see someone have a go! Merry Christmas!
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 5 жыл бұрын
Hiya buddy. Thanks for your feedback I do appreciate it. I actually finished off the chases both with and without the scrim tape so I could compare. Based on feedback received most people, like yourself, probably wouldn't bother with it. It does add very slightly to the thickness of the plaster over the joint but nothing major. It will also strengthen the joint so it won;t do any harm. Definitely down to personal preference that one. I was actually going to use MF to finish off the chases when Bonded out but I decided against because I wanted to give the Easifill a go and it is also a helluva lot easier to sand down if necessary than the MF. However, for a more skilled individual who can feather in the joins it would certainly work a treat and would also be a lot cheaper. If I was skimming the walls I would definitely use the MF. Really helpful Des and thank you from all us DIYers! I saw you mentioned on another comment that you would advise sanding back if planning to paint on directly. In your experience is that ok to do after one coat of the easi fill or would you go for two? Just thought it might become a bit raised after a second coat.
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 5 жыл бұрын
Hello there. My pleasure. If you can get a decent one coat with the easifill then that's great. However, I've found that I need a couple of coats to get a decent finish (even though I'm quite an experienced DIY plasterer). The reason I mentioned this is because once a painted wall is dry it will show up every imperfection. I completely understand your concerns about having a 'raised' bit which might stick out like a sore thumb. The trick is to make sure the second coat extends beyond the edges of the first coat (2/300mm) and to blend in / feather the edges of the top coat into the surrounding wall. If you expand the second coat to a wider area it becomes less noticeable. It's actually easier than you think. Start with a coarser sandpaper/block and then go smoother and hopefully it'll come good. If it doesn't then you could paperr with lining paper which will sort it no prob's. Just to reassure you, very few walls look perfectly flat and smooth and have no blemishes, especially in older properties. Hope it works for you my friend. Take care, Des

Wouldn’t bother with the tape it’s for plasterboard joints. As a sparks I’d strongly recommend removing the sockets, all that movement is unnecessary stress on the cable and you don’t want plaster in the working parts (second fix), good vid and plastering 👍

If you don't the dry plaster between the paper will suck out moisture in your new plaster mix causing it to dry out, harden and crack. HI Caveman. I am about to do exactly what you are doing in this video using easi-fill 60 to a new light switch and aluminium profiles for some led lights. Can you tell me what the working time of this stuff is please? would you recommend going over again after 60 minutes rather than the 30 minutes as you tried in the video? Basically is it best to put it on feather the best you can and then after 60 minutes go over with the trowel again?
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 5 жыл бұрын
Hi there and thanks for writing. The working time for this stuff is 60 mins. This is when it will harden and become pretty much unworkable. You will need to go over it well before this time to make sure that you get a nice smooth finish and you will need to use a wet trowel to ensure that the blade does not stick to the plaster. I';m assuming you haven't done this before so I would suggest perhaps going over it a few times to be honest. You will also need to have a wet brush handy to remove and residue from the plaster. How will you be finishing the wall? Papering, painting? This will determine how good the finish needs to be and how much time you have to spend on it. However, rest assure one of the great attributes of this type of plaster is that it can be easily sanded for a very good finish. Hope this helps mate. Des

@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 Жыл бұрын
Great questions. The reason for using 2 different types of plaster and finishing off with the Easifill directly relates to your query. Easifill is a very light plaster and is meant to be sanded (even though you can still achieve a great finish with a wet trowel as I have done in this vid). Therefore, with a fine sanding block it is possible to sand it down and get a great smooth finish. Whether it is good enough to paint over will depend upon the degree of care and skill you have. Realistically, unless you do this on a very regular basis and can achieve a first class, smooth and level finish where it blends in perfectly with the surrounding plaster you're better off using lining paper. This will give you a perfect finish and look extremely professional. Whilst it is possible to paint straight over you won;t know how good the finish is until the paint dries out. Paint tends to show up every conceivable imperfection when dry especially if it has a sheen to it. However, a dull or matt finish is much better and certainly easier to hide such imperfections. For a DIY'er, I would recommend plastering as I have done in this vid, ling paper and then emulsion. This will enable most amateurs to achieve a very professional finish and save loads of cash. However, it does take time to do as there are a number of processes involved. Depends what's most importantto you. Best wishes, Des

To all saying no need for tape... Well, "my builder" did not bother with tape and now I have cracks everywhere. My honest opinion - he should have used tape (paper or mesh) as you have two dissimilar materials, an old render and new plaster. They have slightly different expansion factors, thus resulting in shrinkage (when room cold) and expansion (when room hot) in different rates. Perfectly shows in my house, where you have a mixture of old lime render and patches made of plasterboard... accompanied by loads of hair cracks where the joints used to be :/

Hi again mate. Doing a good job. You dont really need to use scrim tape on each side of the chase. You only really need to scrim joints that are very thin which will hair line crack in the future such as joins between plasterboard sheets, joints between wall and ceiling, and wall corners. That easi fill is just a nicer quality polyfilla. Its main purpose is for drylining using tapered edge plasterboards to save skimming with wet plaster. Or as a fine surface filler for example if paint has flaked off and you want to use a fine surface filler to blend the hard edges out so you dont see it. Also filling screw holes etc. Its not designed to be trowelled up as its a filler, not a plaster. You probably noticed it wasnt actually trowelling up as it was setting up. If you want to fill chases using easi fill, you do as you did in your first video, pva all the chases and conduit if theres any fitted, then force bonding into the chase pack it tightly and scrape back about 2/3mm from the surface of wall either side. Then do 2 coats of easi fill, apply first coat to bring the chase flush with wall and let it fully cure (it shrinks). Then you apply a second coat flush to the wall again (first coat would have shrunk back slightly). With the 2nd coat of easi fill, you get a perfectly hidden chase by leaving it slightly proud of the wall by a couple of mm, then once fully cured, you use a wide sanding block with some sandpaper to sand it smooth and flush. Its designed to be sanded not trowelled. Or you can use some multi finish plaster, fill the chase flush, and then instead of sanding it like the easi fill, you can do as you did in the video and trowel it once it starts setting up. With multi finish, the more you trowel it, the flatter and more polished it becomes. Spritz a mist of water over it as your trowelling it and you will notice the fat of the plaster on your trowel which helps to fill in any small defects in the wall. You use the fat thats brought to the surface to help you fill with proper plaster like multi finish. So basically, you sand back easi fill once you slightly over apply it. And trowel up multi. Dont sand multi, or trowel up easifill lol. Will save you tons of work in the future and your chases will be perfect. Skimming the wall over is honestly not difficult at all though. You have the tools already, and if you do 1 wall at a time, you can keep troweling it till its perfect. Will give you a much nicer finish compared to filling chases and being done with it. Once you knock one wall out so its dead flat your be well away. Plastering looks like a black art but honestly is a piece of cake. I self taught myself in a day and the next week, skimmed a entire 3 story house up im refurbishing. Absolute doddle, and you have the patience to do a pukka job mate.

Hiya buddy. Thanks very much for your thoughtful and comprehensive advice. I very much appreciate this as always. I've done loads of skimming and always good results so not a problem for me at all - just the time element. As you suggested, I did also consider using Multi Finish over the Bonding but thought I'd try the Easifill to see whether I could get away with painting the walls as a quicker alternative to skimming or lining with paper and painting. When I next go back to the property I will check for shrinkage. I am expecting some and also anticipating I may need to do a 2nd coat of Easifill. The finished result will determine whether I line the walls with paper and paint or just paint over. I will be doing some skimming shortly though ..... looking forward mate. Have a great daywhere you are. ATB, Des.

Great couple of videos, thank you. I do have a question...I was chatting with a painter and he said he uses Toupret TX110. If I remember correctly he said that you can use this stuff to fill deep holes and chased out walls. He said it was quick to dry and can be rubbed down in one visit. No two coats needed! Is this correct? I am a good DIYer and like the sound of this product but I can't see how a gap of say, over 20mm deep, drying quickly enough to sand down after an hour or so. Be great to hear yours or anyone comments on this. Thanks

Hi, I do painting and decorating and a lot of DIY. Toupret X110 is brilliant, but it costs twice as much as regular fillers (even Toupret's reg stuff). For deep fills, I usually pack the gap with Soudall foam if really bad, but always apply the Toupret n layers 5-10mm and let dry, or you'll be waiting a day or so! The big advantage is that, once dry, it can be painted over directly - although I'm a PVA hound for larger fills/edges. I've never had any smiles appear (unlike many fillers) through the paint. One of the best features is that, once dry, it can be sanded or even shaped, so you can get the surface very flat.

Hi there. I didn't use MF because I was hoping to either paint over the finished walls or paper them. MF is very, very hard to sand so you need to be really good to get the edges feathered so they're not obvious. Easifill sands really easily - that's why. On larger areas, however, MF is a great option. If you're going to line the walls with paper and paper over the top - just MF large or small areas as this should hide any overlaps. If painting, use easifill, hope this helps, Des

Thanks for your query. As always, there are a number of ways to complete such a project and this is one option. I hadn't used Easi-Fill before and wanted to give it a try and it appears to work great. I could have simply filled the chases with Bonding and left it flush with the wall and then papered over and painted. I could also have used Multi Finish on top of the Bonding and feathered/blended this into the wall. However, this would take more skill for a seamless finish which I could do no prob's. However, you can't really sand Multi-Finish as it it made of Gypsum (rock basically) and this would therefore be more difficult for an amateur. I like to try different approaches to try and determine advantages and disadvantages and to try and work out what works best in whatever scenario. There will always be pro's and cons to each method and some will either approve or disapprove of each depending on their personal preferences, their skill-set and circumstances. Hope this helps. You can't argue the fact that top coat will stick much better to scratched surface than a smooth surface, for sure. I am not an expret but why do you use PVA? Don't seal the pores by applying PVA? Hi there. To be fair, I could have used MF but it is always more difficult to feather it into the surrounding plaster without it being too noticeable (particularly in a smaller area), plus, it's very difficult to sand down because it's made of gypsum which is a very hard, rock-like substance. The easi fill, on the other hand, sands down really easily if required and gives a smoother finish. If I was skimming the walls completely, I'd just fill in the chases with Bonding plaster and simply skim over without faffing about. Hope tha answers your question. BTW, the easifill is quite expensive and it would have been cheaper to use the MF if that is a factor. Itreally depends how you're going to finish the wall off. Thanks for watching mate. Des

Nice vids, and lots of polite comments, refreshing to see! I have a question regarding the trunking you’ve used. I’m about to do similar with some wall lights, and have bought some PVC trunking, mainly because it wasn’t as wide as the metal stuff, so less to chase out and then fill. However, I’m aware that metal trucking would offer significantly more protection from errant nails / screws in the future - but is it overkill? Should I do the right thing and go metal?!
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 5 жыл бұрын
Hello there my friend and thanks for watching. The rewiring was performed by a qualified electrician and not myself. Trunking (of some sort) is regarded as good practice in the industry and recommended by NICEIC but there are many differing views as to whether it is actually necessary and the material from which it is made. When I received quotations for this work, one electrician who I used before said it wasn't necessary and wanted to up his quote if I wanted it , another said plastic would do and the third (to whom I offered the business) automatically quoted for the metal stuff. So basically it's personal choice. As someone who is risk adverse I decided to go for the safest option. As it transpired, this happened to be a very similar price to the other quotes I received and was therefore the obvious choice, i.e. the top spec for an average price. The other advantage of having trunking is that it allows you to easily remove existing cables and replace them without having to gouge them out of the plaster. In summary, therefore, I would personally always go for trunking and if you can get the metal stuff for a competitive price go for that. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Des

Hey Des, new subscriber to your channel, I really like the way you go about your DIY it's more relaxed than me! I have been filling in a chase and around a socket, and my issue is that despite all the faff with the trowel and smoothing it out, I can't seem to get a completely blended look with the rest of the wall. It always seems to look slightly "wavey" where you can tell the plaster is ever so slightly proud of the rest of the wall. It's difficult to sand back because it's such a shallow and broad ridge effect. Did you ever get this problem before and if so how do I do my filling differently to stop this happening?
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 4 жыл бұрын
Hello there and thanks for contacting me. Also, thank you for subscribing - I hope you find my DIY vids useful. I think you're being very harsh on yourself to be honest. If you don;t do this regularly (and even if you do) it can be quite difficult blending it in that well. It depends on a few things really: 1) when you've plastered the recess / void and plaster has started to firm up try gently scraping back any excess plaster around the edges of void where new and old plaster meet using the front edge (shortest edge) of your trowel 2) if the area to be plastered is quite wide then you may need a wider blade so you can use the surrounding wall as a guide to keep new plaster as flat as possible 3) when plaster has firmed up, try using a wet brush to thin out the edges of the newly plastered area so that it blends in better (I do this all the time and it works a treat) 4) make sure the top coat of plaster you use is one that can be sanded when dry 5) use a fine sandpaper, say 120 grit or greater so you don't take off too much and / or leave depressions where you've plastered 6) paint or paper when finished? Unless you're an expert it will be incredibly difficult to blend old and new plaster seemlessly as a painted wall will show up every imperfection. A papered wall will cover with ease especially if you use lining paper. 7) if you try and trowel up plaster too soon you won;t actually be flattening it you'll simply be pushing it around and this will create waves / undulations on the surface (practice and timings are essential).. Hope this helps my friend, Des

@21stcenturycaveman33

Hello there and thank you for taking the time to watch my humble vid and for your valuable feedback. Firstly, it's reassuring to hear from a professional that the backing coat should be scratched - that was my understanding as well despite some of the negative feedback I received. Secondly, skimming the wall is the first and most obvious solution. However, as a DIY'er who works full time I do not have the time or the speed to skim virtually every wall in this property (although the practice would be great!) within a reasonable time period. Therefore, I decided to infill the chases, take the plaster back a bit and then infill with the Easifill as this would be easier, quicker and more manageable than having to skim everywhere. My right arm and elbow also play up big time if I do any intensive plastering and this could have adversely affected my day job working in an office on a computer (I already suffer from RSI symptoms in my right hand). Basically, it seemed like the easiest and most manageable way to complete this task and fitted in with my other work and personal commitments. Have a great weekend and a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Best wishes, Des

I'm not a plasterer so I don't mean to sound stupid, but why do you use a top coat of plaster? Couldn't you just bring the bottom layer of plaster level with the wall and call it done with? Or wouldn't that work?
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 4 жыл бұрын
Hi there buddy. Good question for sure. It really depends on how you're going to finish off when it comes to decorating when the plaster is dry. The reason is because the bottom coat of plaster is stronger and much more coarse than the top coat and also very difficult to sand down once it has set. Therefore, by way of example, if you're going to paper over then you might be OK not to apply a top coat providing you've taken your time and have quite a smooth finish so it won't be so obvious once the paper has dried out. If, however, you're going to paint over then you will almost certainly need to have a top coat of plaster which is weaker but much smoother. You will also be able to sand it down if necessary to get a good finish which can then be painted. If the plaster is rough underneath then every imperfection will be noticeable once painted or if you have a thin wall paper. Hope that makes sense mate. Best wishes, Des

I'm a jointer so easyfill and products like it have been my trade for 20+ years The bonding, the scoring, the scrim is definitely something I would do and looks like a tidy job my only difference would be, I would two coat the easyfill, the first would be put on tight and left for a good few hours if not over night second coat would be done to a mil or two proud and wider then the first coat with feathered edges which would then be sanded in flat. ☺️😁 Looks good though. Failing all that I would have liked to skim the whole wall 😁 (multifinish)

Hi there and thanks for your feedback. I'm aware that easifill is normally sanded down during the drywall process but it doesn't mean that it can't be trowelled and there is nothing wrong with this method at all. On the contrary, you can get a very good smooth finish with a wet trowel as I have done in this vid. If required, it can be sanded down lightly with a high grit block. It's one of those situations where a product may have an intended purpose but it may be more flexible than you might think if you're prepared to have a play with it and experiment. Also, there is no need to sand if you're going to go over this with a reasonable thickness lining paper ( e.g. 1200 grade +) as I have done. ATB, Des

@@21stcenturycaveman33 troweling up easyfill draws moisture to the top and tiny grains which give it a rough finish. As for covering with a lining paper that would work if that's what being done but that finish would have needed something more if you was doing a paint finish. Easyfill is a gypsum product designed to dry at a set time and not have water introduced to it after the curing process has started. Wetting up and troweling out may work in some instances but it will make the the gypsum crystallization weaker in the long run. That's not a matter of opinion that one is a fact of process. If you would like to email me I can send you the links to the studies on gypsum crystallization and effects of outside compounds. It's quite interesting ☺️

excellent job but you have chased the socket side ways, should be to the bottom, all lights to the top and sockets to the bottom,
@xerzius
@xerzius 4 жыл бұрын
Those 3 sockets are hideously out of line with each other and will look awful. When I have to chase in and fill I drill up my socket boxes and plug them thehalf fill with bonding (using a smaller trowel), feed the cable(s) through the grommet and push the box into the bonding, taking away excess as I go. Then when it stiffens a bit just cut plaster out with the trowel or filling knife. THEN you 2nd fix....or as I do sometimes is to put those sprung connectors over wire ends(or choc block) so there is a ring if needed then decorate. Preferably then Id socket up.

Hi there and thanks for watching. The sockets are actually aligned very well - it's merely an optical illusion and they look absolutely fine. Appreciate your feedback. ATB, Des

Just use easifill, so much easier to work with and designed for shallow infill.
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 22 күн бұрын
Absolutely not! Easifill is not designed for filling in chases such as these. It simply isn't strong enough. It's OK to finish off though as I've done in these vids. Completely disagree with this suggestion. AVOID!!

@@21stcenturycaveman33 🙄🤣 Gyproc EasiFill 60 is a gypsum-based filler compound providing high coverage and low shrinkage. It can be used for bulk filling and finishing, and can be readily sanded to a fine, smooth finish. With a working time of just 60 minutes, the filler is both fast and versatile. This gypsum based filler compound gives high coverage and also offers low shrinkage, meaning it can be easily sanded to a very smooth finish.

No disrespect but this is a typical example of someone quoting from a product description / installation guide without understanding what they're actually reading and how to apply this knowledge in practice. You also failed to note the following: 'Up to 6mm deep holes, patches and cracks' 'Filling around socket boxes, repairing movement cracks, filling knocks or damage. Patching larger areas of plasterboard'. This is not the appropriate plaster for filling chases. It is a finishing plaster and for minor repairs only.

Scoring is always better quality job. Lazy people who don't care sell the 'unnecessary' yarn.

nice vid but who ever did the wiring shouldn't have run the power cables horizontal, it's against all the wiring regs in the UK.

Easy fill is not a plaster - it's a fast setting joint filler and not ment to be use for this kind of jobs!
@21stcenturycaveman33
@21stcenturycaveman33 5 жыл бұрын
Sorry but I don't know where you get that idea from mate. It's entirely appropriate for this sort of job: 1. On the British Gypsum website it is listed under 'plaster products' in their repair range: www.british-gypsum.com/products/plaster-products/repair-range 2. On the British Gypsum website it is described as 'A combined setting and air-drying, gypsum based material for both BULK FILLING and finishing of joints. www.british-gypsum.com/products/gyproc-easi-fill?tab0=1 3. ' it's a fast setting joint filler'. Not necessarily. Easifill is available in 3 different setting times - 20 mins, 45 mins and 60 mins )which I was using in my video). 60 mins / 1 hour is hardly a 'fast setting' plaster is it? Hope you're having a great weekend where you are. ATB, Des
