Best vlogging tip: Do what you can make consistently! I STRUGGLE trying to vlog only because I get so far down the idea rabbit hole I cannot execute them because they take so much time and it becomes overwhelming. This I am sure is a lot of peoples problem. Also...basic fundamentals of course 😋 decent lighting and audio goes miles. As you talk about with the windows and the sun... its a constant!

My biggest advice for vlogging? Invest in a wide angle lens. Nothing is more infuriating than speaking to your camera whilst vlogging only to notice what you're trying to show isn't in frame. Having a wide angle lens gives you peace of mind that whatever you're trying to show is ACTUALLY being shown.

I started a 90 Day Video Challenge to push me to get in front of the camera; after the first 10 videos, it got me where I wanted to be, but since I had not chosen my niche yet and enjoyed making the videos, I kept on going... Changes in my life meant it had to take a back seat, but I never stopped completely... I have recently started again after 6 years and still have 2 videos to go before I finish! )))

I love this! I've fallen in love with vlogging over the past year. My biggest vlogging must have is authenticity. The real moments of the camera falling or general hot mess express moments (@ me LOL) are what makes it relatable. People watch vlogs for entertainment, but they'll come back if they connect with you.

In my limited vlogging experience, I find it's best not to overthink it. I was vlogging the building of my brother's greenhouse and not overthinking the vlog helped with keeping it real and genuine. Thanks for the video!

I literally have the same vlogging setup as you! I use the kit lens though, but I agree with what you said about keeping the viewer entertained! Changing the pacing and adding transitions and making everything flow together really helps! 😄

That was a really great video, loved how you gave examples of white balance and auto exposure most tutorials just explain what they are without showing an actual example. Actual examples allows you to understand much more thoroughly.
