Not in all cases brother. You are probably referring to big companies with very strict hiring processes. There are some companies (mostly startups) they are pretty flexible with the hiring process. If you can communicate your skills with a strong LinkedIn profile or a one page portfolio website, you are likely to get a shot. What I told in the video is just a basic outline, you have to do a lot inbetween. No one is going to hire you over a simple LinkedIn request. You have to do a lot of texting, networking, commenting on company posts, keeping in touch etc. That's a lot of work. Very few people are capable of doing that. Next time, try with startups and do a little research on cold approach, you will get it
