Great tips man! And great to point out different strengths of different apps. I definitely scope with Google Street-view and then pin them in Apple Maps. Love the content! When I first discovered you I figured you probably had 50-100k subs, so that means your content is super high quality! Sub count will catch up. :) Keep up the phenomenal work!

Close to 7k now already haha. I like how your channel is very much result focussed. Not so much about super techy stuff, pixel peeping lens quality in a lab test and all. Those things get a lot of emphasis in a lot of photography videos but arguably have the least effect on the results. Location , ideas, composiiton, light etc all far more important than if you lens or body X Y or Z and what settings you shot this at. Keep that up PS: I would have totally photoshopped that flag (top right) out at 7:22 :P

Amazing brother. I do the same!! And it really works to find new location in near by areas. One pro tip I would like to add is always be there before you client arrive to make sure nothing will obstruct the photo shoot so you can have plan B before the agreed time.

Thank you for that added info because i wanted to get to the shoot earlier because of the weekend and it was a park. The time we pick to work around him did not work. And i am just starting so knowing how to pick location and having backup places will help me out the next time. With the help of people like you guys that been doing this a lot longer and do not mind giving pro tip to people like me is very helpful on how i do things and getting the best results.

Nice work bro, here in germany, if you're not living in Frankfurt, it's a bit tricky to find such kind of alleys because everything is more like small land side buildings. I mostly look for factorys near Harbours or generally industrial district, Keep it up 👍

I had to pause the video. And want to leave a comment right after the „Maps-Thing“ You can try the 3D and the streetview things in my „city“ and what you see is nothing. 😂 I think Tip Nr1 to find great photo locations is to live in a city with great photo locations 😂😂😂 No youtuber that I ever seen has this tip on his list. They live in Atlanta, Chicago, NewYork or London as example. Yes you can do great photos everywhere except in my 300people Bavarian village 😂 .....Greetz from 🇩🇪 Great content by the way

I use to share my locations with people but i had a few people copy my photo down to even the almost exact location of the car and camera angle and position

The Car Creative makes total sense! I totally have to agree. I’ve thought about it that way as well. It would have been nice to be mentioned in some sort of way instead of just posting the photo like they framed it themselves and found the location. I found with a lot of car photography it really comes down to those two things the most for me anyways.

I had the best location pick out yesterday to go practice shoot my brother hell cat under a bridge where you can see the downtown skyline in the back ground and would you know when i got there someone was having a birthday party. Man oh Man i couldn't get any of the shots i really wanted but i did meet two cool guys while i was there so it turn out ok. but next time i know that park has to be a week day shoot and it has a skate park next to it. So that made me go back and watch this video for tips on picking location for cars thanks great video.

Google earth pro, you can even set it to show the sun and where it's setting. Spin the screen and see where the shadows will be. Game changer there.

Great Video. This will be really helpful. Right now I'm struggling to find the right theme or scenery fitting the car I'm going to shoot. Do you have any basic rules for example shooting a coupe like a BMW E31 or a sedan like a Chrysler 300C?

Thanks so much man! Thanks for watching eh! I don’t have any basic rules no, as you can see I just shot an off-roading rig in the city haha! I’d say if possible to shoot at sunset or sunrise for nicest lighting conditions, but otherwise the cars are the main focus, not so much the location. =D

thanks for sharing, that is acutally how i do it myself :) but unfortunatelly we got not the same conditions in germany. very high population density in cities so its hard to find quiete spots and if you do its often company or privat property and you are not allowed to go in. And on the other hand many rural regions without any interesting spots - at least were i live. But no pain - no gain - and eventually everybody can find cool spots to shot :)

Ah shoot! Does sound a bit more difficult there. There are often security patrolling the nicer rooftops, like the ones I mentioned in this video I’ve been kicked off/out several times but they are really nice about it (Canadians are so kind haha). Just keep at it, sometimes its just finding a wall with nice textures that gets you the banger shot you’re looking for 😃✌🏼

Usually just the city I’m shootings in and then fly over it looking for potential spots.

@@TheCarCreative great tool. And you can see what photos others have taken there, so then you can attack it a different way and come up with something original while still using the same backdrop.

Well that just is what it is. If it’s not legal for you to be there than just be respectful when the rangers come to kick you out. Or just shoot really fast and get out quick haha.
