Thank you! I always forget about the Joy app. It looks like it might be a far easier way to make cards, especially the corners. I have trouble with that sometimes. Definitely looking forward to more of your card making videos. I love card making!

In the second episode here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b89iYMuW0rDVg5c.html I'm explaining the card kits (R10, R20, R30, etc), mats, how to change blades, and we're making our first basic card. In episode 3 we'll add pens, markers and opaque pens (writing white on dark papers!). Then we'll move on to foil, embellishments, writing on the inside of the cards, envelopes, shaped cards, and so much more. Hope you'll subscribe and I'll see you there!

I am new to Cricut and would like to make a photo Christmas card with use of my new Explorer. I have been learning a lot from your other videos but not sure how to do with use of desktop and Explorer vs a Joy. Thanks@@KimByers

I never think of using the Joy app when I make a card. I always forget about it because I generally like to use the desktop version of design space. I really need to start using it. It looks like it would be so much easier to make a card, especially the corners. I have trouble with that sometimes. Definitely looking forward to more of your card making videos. I love card making!

(USA) March 2024 - There is no "Cardmaking" prompt within the top bubbles (desktop nor mobile). WOMP WOMP. I can use the filters to get close, but not nearly as many options as you were able to show. On both versions, following the filters you shared, I got 237 images.

Hi I am looking at purchasing a Cricut - I think for what I would use it for the Cricut Joy is the one for me. Would you be kind enough to answer some questions for me as I am a little confused? Can you tell me what I can make with the Cricut Joy? I want to make cards, Flowers, and is it labels? to put onto storage in my sewing/craft room. Can you do all this on the Joy? Could you also tell me how many free cards and fonts you get and when purchasing can you purchase as and when you see a card or font you want or do you have to have a monthly subscription. Hey Linda! So glad you're here. So the Cricut Joy is a great little machine and you're going to be able to make all the cards and labels you want. When you say flowers, yes, you can make paper flowers too. However they will be small since the original Joy only cuts up to 4.5 inches wide and 12 inches long for paper. You can purchase smart materials in vinyl and iron on that are longer. The new Joy Xtra will cut up to 8.5 inches wide (and up to 20 feet long for iron on and vinyl). One point that I'm going over in the second video in this card series (coming out tomorrow) is that the original Cricut Joy will not cut R40 cards (4.75x6.6) but the new Cricut Joy Xtra will. As for cards, images and fonts, I've personally had Cricut Access now for many years so I'm not completely sure how many free ones you get without the service. I would bet not too many because they really want you in the program. Right now you can get Access for 9.99 a month, with a price break for the annual service. There's a link in this video description if you want to have a look. OR, you can download the Joy app for free on your phone and have a look at all the things they have to offer.
