Holy shit. I have not consumed a lot of your content over the past year and it really hit home when you started talking about attention at 5 mins in. I have started a project to help creators with no immediate ROI, what I get out of it long term, besides helping lift a community of awesome creative people, I learn how to get attention, everything there is to know about it and how to use it when you get it. Cynics think I am crazy or there is some kind of segway into something that is for sale. You just got to block out the noise and let people that believe the same thing gravitate towards you. i think happiness comes from making others around you happy, that gives you purpose and ultimately, it brings you joy. Life is hard but you're able to help someone, that's the greatest achievement ever, much greater than investing in something and buying a private jet. Everybody above the age of 40 says the thing that brings them the most joy is being a parent, or their family.

I think you’ll be happy to hear that I no longer feel the need to watch your videos as much. Your thesis has really become a native part of how I approach business and life ing general. One way to find happiness is to do something you like and enjoy doing and if you don't know yours first go out there and try different things until you find the one that makes you happy when you are doing it. That's why I started doing something I love and enjoy doing. I even started documenting my journey on it ❤️

Love what I do, been grinding at it since 2007, wasn’t able to make it pay! Went back to work for a boss four times while building it to where it is now... only just paying the bills! 15 hours a day six days a week standing behind a lathe doing what I love... it’s not work I fucking love it! I agree so much! Loving what you do - doing what you love is most important!!! Yet I have to say until I found and started doing what I love, I didn't know what I really like, where and how to look for it, find it. I watched your stuff before and it was cool, but didn't know how to live it, adapt it to my life. Once "it came to me" I started understanding and now couple of months/years later I started following you again and then it hit me..."He was right all the time!" I eat, sleep, and breathe my craft....this wasn't possible until I found the right craft though. The option overload was hard, but I have tried over 100 businesses. Turns out copywriting is the one, sure I want to build more businesses....but copywriting is what I really want, and what I'm good at. I always thought I would be a fiction writer, a novelist like Stephen King, Dean Koontz, or Tolkien. Accepting that I am just not that guy, hurt like hell. Now that I realized that it's not what I'm good at I'm happier, more motivated, and grinding every day. I never had that passion before. Not about anything. I wasn't in love with the craft of fiction writing, I was in love with the romanticized idea that I'd built up in my head. The hardest part of letting go was the fact that I had to tell everyone I knew that I was dead wrong about who I am. I love your perspectives Gary.
