I had no clue about the filter at the front. Had my Dyson for 18 yrs! Most helpful.

At last!I was given the Dyson without instructions and although I knew it must have filters I just could not work out how to find them. Great video to see what needs doing.Thanks

Excellent video thank you. My user manual for my DC20 doesn't even mention that there is an exhaust filter - just the one on top! Wondered why Amazon sent me two filters - thanks to your video I now know and the machine is working as good as new!

Nice vid, thanks for uploading. 2017: The motor has finally gone on our trusty old dc20. Guess I should have changed the filter sooner. Hopefully some new filters and a new motor will bring her back to life!

Alex like your videos. I think I know all about filters, and power head problems on my DC39. But the retractor lead has a break somewhere. Can you advise how to split the ball to get into the top section with the wiring. I'm worried I might bust it in my approach. Nev.

Hope you can help me. My DC21 stays running fine but the power head keeps shutting off intermittently. It turns right back on as soon as I tap the foot switch. I checked the power contact holes at both ends for lint or debris and those wear clear ( I had that happen once ). I disassembled the power head it had a lot of dust in that motor area so I cleaned everything. I reassembled it all and it is still shutting off intermittently. I'm not sure where to go from here. Do you know what the problem might be ?

Very useful. My filters were in the wrong slots before I cleaned them! I definitely need a new HEPA filter
